Very grateful for this clinic. I am always able to get in to see the doctors, and very minimal wait times especially when it can takes weeks to get into your family doctor. A lot of reviews complain about wait time but at the end of the day- people need to realize that our city is big, and with not many doctors taking new patients, it’s the walk in clinics that get over worked and fill up quickly. The staff and doctors are doing their best, and as patients we need to be patient. I was pretty sick for the past year on and off and couldn’t figure out what was wrong, went to 3 different walk in clinics and Laurier was the only one who sent me for blood work, and prescribed me the proper medication to get my breathing and sinuses back to normal. Dr.K and Chelsea were not only a HUGE help, but very friendly and pleasant. Makes going to the doctor’s office a lot less intimidating. Thanks guys :
I came to register, a woman let me know that 2 hours should come back. I confirm 5:30pm, . She said Ok. I walk around until 5:00 pm then come back and confirm I come back but she said 2 hour more. I ask her, will I waiting until 7:30pm…..I think she does not professional.
Called and asked if we could have a specific form filled out, and if doctor would be able to access health files from previous hospitalization, we were told yes for a price. Agreeable. Came into office, registered with same name stated over phone, waited 3 hours, only for doctor to inform us that he couldn’t open any files for anyone. Misinformation provided at phone lead to a very disappointing visit.
During the last few years when getting in to see your own family doctor, or any family doctor is challenging, I have found comfort in knowing LDMC is consistently reliable. The staff and doctors truly go above and beyond to do everything they can, even while dealing which heavy traffic and a faulty, understaffed health care system. Two staff members at this clinic have especially stuck out to me. Chelsea, one of the MOA’s is the mama bear of that place. Whenever I walk in, but the last time being with my screaming baby with a double ear infection, she did everything and anything in her power to provide us comfort and privacy while we were waited to see a doctor. And she listened to my concerns. This is so rare now a days. Then there’s Dr. K. Oof, this man is beyond kind. I went in recently with a personal issue, and he followed up afterward not once but twice. My OWN family doctor does not do this. Though it’s challenging with understaffing, and heavy traffic, this clinic is one of the best. Special thanks to Chelsea and Dr K, for all that you do for my family.
I had visited the clinic for my work injury today, The doctor I saw today was very cold towards me. Didn't show me any empathy, I was in horrible pain was not able to stand or sit for prolonged period which my job demands because of the incident but he didn't give my any rest period told me no bone is broken so you good to go . My first experience and I was not satisfied the way I was treated for my injury.
