I just wrapped up my 8-session Groupon last week with them. I have been very happy with the results through the entire process (almost a year, now). The procedure itself was always quick, and the staff are wonderful which made the specific situation of the removal less awkward for me. I would definitely recommend laser hair removal over repeated shaving, especially from Laser MD MedSpa.

I was very confused by my visit. I have been having some issues with acne and went in for my first ever facial. A chemical peel was suggested as the best option for acne prone skin. The simple half hour visit (costing $150) consisted of a technician applying the cream, waiting 15 minutes, wiping it off, and applying lotion. There really are no other bells or whistles. I felt ripped off... I could go to a dermatologist and buy Retin A out of pocket for roughly that much and have a supply to last me. Either I am an incredible amateur and cheap to boot, or this really was a rip off. I currently have a fat zit on my chin btw... didn't work.

While most of the staff is pleasant enough and the facilities clean and professional, the services I've received have been mostly ineffective and therefore a huge waste of money and time. I did 12 sessions of velashape II, which did not reduce cellulite on buttocks & thighs. I am 5'5" and was 35 years old and 125 lbs at the start of treatment. Over the course of the treatment (about 4 months) I gained about 10 pounds. The manager was kind enough to give me a few free sessions, but in the end it was still ineffective. Next, I received laser hair removal for chin/lip, underarms, full arms, Brazilian and full legs. After 10 treatments (once every 6 weeks) the underarm hair removal was about 90% effective; full arms was about 25% effective (owing to a lot of lighter hairs, but dark hairs still remain). Legs were about 80% effective and lip/chin and Brazilian were initially 90% effective but after a change of birth control hair grew back in these areas, rendering the treatment 0% effective... Not really the company's fault but still very frustrating. I also received 8 E-matrix scar reduction treatments for a surgical scar from 17 years ago. There was 0% scar reduction at the end of all treatments. Finally, I received microdermabrasion treatments for face and legs (i had some scarring) and did not notice any benefits for either. Overall I feel that I spent quite a lot of money on these services for very little benefit/results. The most effective treatment of all of them was the laser hair removal, but because of hormone changes it rendered half of the treatment pointless and I would have to do it again.

Many friends had told me not to buy a Groupon/Living Social deal for laser hair removal because of terrible experiences at other places. I'm glad I didn't listen because Laser MD MedSpa has delivered and within a price range I felt comfortable with. The staff is friendly and professional. They answer questions and offer additional services in an informative, non-pressure way. My results have been incredible and have changed my life for the better. I'm looking forward to the end result!
