A place to find a natural, chemical and preservative free alternative to today’s desserts. From our oven to your table.
When La Palette opened its doors in the fall of 2006, we had one mission, to make the areas best baked goods, completely from scratch in small batches. True to this day, we’re still turning out trays of flaky croissants, sweet tart shells, and savory breads day after day. Putting emphasis on the quality, every aspect of the product is made on the premises, still 100% from scratch.
Blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries get hand picked at local farms during the summer months, leading into the fall season where our talented team of workers can be seen peeling CT grown apples, and slow roasting local sugar pumpkins for pies. That’s right, we refuse to use canned pie fillings, even pumpkin! A glimpse into our cold case will give a hint at the amount of fresh and seasonal fruit we use.
Our ovens are first turned on well before the crack of dawn, and turned off at closing, meaning at any point in the day freshly baked goods can be smelt piping through our door and into the neighboring town hall and local pharmacy. Businessmen stop by for a coffee and croissant in the morning, while others feast their lunch break on an éclair. Students walk over for a treat after school, and families stop by for that special something to complete the nights meal.
La Palette Bakery is about the product and also what it brings to the community. We enjoy seeing our finished product, without any corners being cut. It speaks for itself. The grins and smiles of the customers, whether it’s the 4 year old holding an oversized cream puff, or the first time the bride and groom see their wedding cake, give our company the joy and drive of working through the tedious techniques which seem to have been long forgotten about in today’s day and age.
It’s a joy to see our hard work pay off.
So please, stop down, whether its for a pastry or simply to chat. We’d love to hear from you.
