Lamanna's Bakery also known as Bakery "L" Fine Foods, The "L" guys, and the most scrumptious ;) bakery & catering company in the east end is a family affair in italian culinary delights and tantalizing desserts. Mama, Papa, the "L" boys and their wonderful staff are on a mission to bring you the best selection and quality desserts & foods for any occasion. From parties of one to special events we're here to fill your tummies, lighten your load, and offer home cooked foods to warm your hearts and souls. <3 From delicious scratch made lasagna, vegetable Penne, veals to name a few...to wonderful desserts such as mouth watering cheesecakes, cannolis, and oh baby... yummy Lobster tails, we're sure you'll find something to satisfy even the most discerning of palates.

Lamanna's Bakery is definitely a local favourite and it's easy to see why. The place was packed, with one lineup for the pizza and another for the pastries. I grabbed a pizza slice from the hot food counter, and while the portion was huge, the flavours didn't quite hit the spot for me and the slice was a bit floppy.nnI also tried the tiramisu, which was a different take on the classic. It was much creamier than a traditional tiramisu, which I enjoyed, but it was missing that bold espresso flavour I usually look for.nnEven though this visit was a bit of a mixed bag, the popularity of the bakery speaks for itself. I'll definitely be back to try more of their pastries and pasta dishes to see what all the hype is about.
The ultimate Italian deli: everything you can imagine from fresh pizza slices, lasagna and pastas, to fresh pastries, and baked goods. They really have it all here! I came to grab a slice of pizza for lunch with one of my buddies because he said it was really good, and it really was! I had a cheese slice and a sun-dried tomato pepperoni slice, both were really good. Both had good flavours and a perfectly soft dough. The cheese was super fresh and really stretchy. The pricing was also really good. It was $6.5 for a slice cut into 2 and it’s a huge portion. Staff was friendly, quick and efficient. They got pretty busy after we walked in, so you might wait some time. Luckily, we only waited about 5 minutes from start to finish. Indoor seating is limited, we were lucky to sit at the counter near a window, but if you’re a big group, it might be hard to find seating.nnIf you’re looking for a quality pizza slice in Scarborough or some fresh homemade authentic Italian food - this place will definitely hit the spot.nHighly recommend!
Loved loved loved the pizza at this place. One of the best pizzas I've ever had! Seriously. I had a pizza with oil cured olives and asparagus that was fantastic.nTake note there is only 1 table to sit at, and you'll have to share it. Or take out, which is what most seem to do. The counter service is very busy, and lines can be out the door on weekends. But they keep things moving.nThere is a coming soon sign next door, looks like they are planning to open a dining room next door.nThe gelato was also very good, with unusual flavors Biscoff, Nutella, etc.
Lamanna’s Bakery was added in our Must Visit list and we finally understand why during our first visit!nnThey have a huge selection of Italian pastries and gelato, freshly made. Please don’t skip or leave without tasting at least their Bomboloni. Their Tiramisu is also good! We’ll definetely be back to try out more.nnThe pizza slices, on the other hand, looks amazing, but the Magherita slice just didn’t make it for us… Unfortunately, the sauce wasnbland and lacked in favour. However, the pizza slices had the perfect texture and amount of cheese — very generous portions, great to share amongst others. Would probably try a different flavour next time.nnAs a vegetarian option, their vegetarian lasagna is highly recommended… very filling and yet again, generous portions, and great service from the staff to ask us if we wanted extra sauce.nnI appreciate the different queue lines created for savoury and sweet foods — it’s time efficient instead of having just one line.nnAlthough we were able to find a spot, there is little seating available.
1st time. Very busy bakery. Hot table had great selection. I had a veal sandwich, my son the porchetta sandwich and 3 helpings of lasagna. The servings are huge. Also ordered a pizza for a birthday boy. If you never been, gotta try. You wont leave hungry
