Lake of the Woods Lookout Tower

Amazing views. Very quiet and remote. No electricity, no water, no cell service, exactly what we love about the beautiful forest. Roads are pretty rough. Definitely recommend 4 wheel drive. 10 miles to Coquette Falls takes an hour, but well worth it! Download the map of the area before you go, there is zero reception!Don't follow the sign by the gate pointing 20 miles to Gold Beach, or your downloaded Google maps. Forest Road 3340 is closed about 6.7 miles south, and you have to turn back and follow directions through Agnes.

This place is too far away from the rest of the civilized world. Talk about back-country. You'll need a big ol' pick up truck to get here. Bring a spare and at least a weeks worth of supplies just in case you get stranded. There's no water, power, or cell service! What's the point in going here? Just to look at trees and mountains?? Trust me, it's overrated. Instead I highly recommend you visit anyone of the fun Oregon State Parks!
