Beautiful and bright decor, so cozy and welcoming! The food was delicious, great portions and very fairly priced. Overall 10/10 experience and will be looking forward to coming again soon!
One of the best places in town. Owner met us personally and was accommodating and informative. Her daughter was our waitress and was attentive and friendly. Food was high quality and fair-priced. Space was intimate and romantic.
The food is awesome and the entire staff is incredibly welcoming. My only critique would be that the beans could take a bit more seasoning, but overall it is a great addition to the neighborhood.
La Patria Cafè is a beautiful new restaurant in Syracuse featuring food from the Latin Caribbean and all of Latin America. For context, my family is of Mexican and Guatemalan heritage and growing up I've had a mix of standard American, and pan-Latin American influence. La Patria captures the full breadth and beauty of Latin American culture, from the music, to the food, and the decor. It was truly a pleasure to dine at this restaurant and be reminded of the vibrancy of Latin American culture. In full display I saw the Latino demand for delicious, rich, and flavorful food, coupled with an atmosphere of warmth and color reflecting celebration and joy. At La Patria I enjoyed churros with delicious chocolate that reminded me of my childhood Chicago summers getting churros from small Mexican churro carts. My friend enjoyed a warm and homely Sancocho stew that will easily remind folks of a loving grandmother's stew. And I enjoyed a deceptively simple chorizo with scrambled eggs. I grew up with chorizo a kind of spiced pork sausage with scrambled eggs. I've had huevos rancheros or other chorizo with egg breakfasts in Syracuse where the chorizo is subpar, the salsa is clearly from a can, or the choice in spices is off-cultural-palette, but La Patria simply knows how to get it done. The chorizo with scrambled eggs reminded me of my childhood, but elevated the experience to something befitting of a fine-dining restaurant. That's deserving of an accolade in and of itself, the restaurant wants to go above and beyond expectations. My brunch was excellent and I can only hope to return again for dinner La Patria reminds me of all of the best parts of Latin American dining and culture, from the music a mix of popular tropical genres like Salsa and Cumbia, to more up to date Latino pop tracks to the decoration to the food. It's a romantic restaurant with kind and welcoming staff. La Patria is the full expression of the excellence of Latin American dining in Syracuse that I have been waiting and hoping for since I moved here. I hope it exceeds the popularity of some other popular imitators that I haven't enjoyed as much sorry Alto Cinco. If you love Latin American food or want to experience it as it should be experienced you have no excuse but to visit La Patria Café.
The food was amazing, the place is nicely decorated and the waiters were really kind. Definitely will be back. 100% recommended
