Jamaica Cuse catered my event last night and it was a 10/10! Great service, totally delicious, and a huge hit with the students. We ate every single bite. I would definitely go again! We got the curry shrimp, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains and it all was packed with flavor. Give it a try!
Every Syracusan who loves flavor & ethnic cuisine has GOT to try this place. Hands down, absolutely delicious. Got jerk chicken with rice and beans & barbecue chicken with white rice. Both came with really nicely done plantains. And a side of mac'n'cheese pie. Both of us agreed that it was a super enjoyable meal. We walked a block over to S Warren and then north two blocks to Hanover Square, then crossed the street to enjoy our lunch on a bench on this beautiful day. Great art deco architecture to check out. When done, we walked a few blocks to the Onondaga Historical Association and browsed items in their gift shop.
Hands down my favorite place to get delicious, consistent, and authentic Jamaican food. The staff is great and the food comes out super quick and always consistent when it comes to it’s amazing flavor. Whenever I have a bad day or just need something tasty I come here.
Delicious food! This photo is of the ox tail dinner. With rice and beans plantains and cabbage. Delicious flavors and portions are excellent. Ordered a beef patty and that was delicious too. Ate it before I could take the picture.. but not your typical frozen beef patty that everyone else sells. I will be coming here as much as I can. I'm trying the jerk chicken next. Wish this place the best I hope business stays boombing! Prime food, Prime location. Definitely Win Win. Update: just ordered the Stewed chicken. Flavors, and portions were very good. Wish I had ordered another beef patty.
OMG. I asked for the 10 wings with a side of plantains and rice with peas because you can't get fried, steamed OR any fish at ALL..you need to call ahead but they just never have it regardless. THEN the stuff available looks like this see pictures and TASTE like under cooked cabbage and rice but also included is over cooked wings, plantain and??? Represent better or charge less .. LOWER your expectations about this eatery and go up the street to Washington Street or just save your money honey. Not a personal fan...miss the jerk hut on South Ave authentic Jermacican with a quality taste..feeding this meal to the trash . The food isn't freshly made its buffet style and served AFTER sitting in warming units ALL day. Miss managed opportunity to bring Jamaican culture to the masses. Check out the place on Washington and State Street or South Ave tested and tried true properly managed old school flavor and availability to menu items.
absolutely love this place! generous portions and everything is delicious. Shane is so friendly, helpful and sweet. He seemed genuinely excited about every person that came into the restaurant! He even mentioned the possibility of karaoke soon…I didn’t need an excuse to come back but that would be amazing!
The best Jamaican food in town! No lie! You do get what you pay for and it’s worth very lip smacking taste. So don’t worry about the price, we Jamaicans will pay any money for good food. You see enough Caribbean restaurants advertising Jamaican foods but they can’t cook Jamaican. I wish I could tell them to stop with the trickery because if you don’t have a Jamaican in the kitchen as the chef, then you have no right to advertise Jamaican food. Jamaica Cuse is not only Jamaican owned, the chef and cooks in the back kitchen are all Jamaicans … from country. They learnt to cook from their grandma and if you come from Jamaica you know grandma country cooking is the best. They only use the real island seasonings imported from Jamaica, not Spanish seasonings or Indian seasoning, real Jamaica seasoning that we used to from yard. The owner Mr. Shane is very passionate about the food they serve and how it’s prepared because as you know, Jamaicans don’t eat just anywhere… it has to be clean. So, he makes sure you get healthy, tasting, finger-licking real authentic Jamaican food. Don’t stop until you try everything on the menu… oxtail, curry goat, fried chicken not KFC but real Jamaica Sunday dinner fricassee chicken. Sadly I don’t eat meat so I can’t taste it but my meat loving friends and family are certainly eating up their fair share for me and you. Try the food anytime for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just for a patty snack. I’ve tried their fried dumplings and ackee/salt fish for breakfast wish I had pics but I was so hungry I ate it before I remembered to take the pics … Jamaica Cuse you certainly give us an excuse to eat Jamaican every time. God bless and Thank you for your service to our community.
I had an amazing experience! The bright yellow and green walls were perfect setting the scene. Our food came out quickly and was a good serving amount. I got the curry goat meal. Music definitely helped set the scene as well. I loved the vibe in there. Shane is great and I will be back!
This food is absolutely amazing. I never would've thought I'd like Jamaican food but after eating here I'm totally hooked. Prices are fair, staff is great, atmosphere is very authentic. HIGHLY recommend!!
You will love this place. Superb tasty food with the authenticity you can only get from a real Jamaican restaurant. Dining in gave me a real island vacation feel. The portions are large so be ready to get full. I suggest the Stewed Chicken Dinner. My mom loves it too! Thank You Jamaica Cuse!
