If you want the real authentic place for Mexican food look no further! Their food is delicious. There is not one particular thing I would recommend because it is all good. They do have homemade tortillas which makes everything even better. They have some flan and jellos if you have room for dessert. They have horchata, sodas and beer. It is always busy. Seating inside is available. Clean, fast service and good customer service.
wow, food was so so so good!! Not sure if it was just us, but our food was SPICY, however, our food & experience was for sure 4/5 stars! I would come back, and I compare my Mexican restaurants to those in Arizona. Want good Mexican food, come here!
I've gone there twice and it's packed on Saturdays! I ordered a few things the first time and forgot to try the enchiladas which everyone said were incredible. I went the next time and holy smokes! So good! Not you're typically smothered in sauce and cheese enchilada. Very delicate, layered with crumbly cheese and crema etc. so unique and delicious. Always great customer service! Highly recommend
This place was absolutely disappointing I used to come to place a lot but today I had ordered a burrito from them and though it would be good but made so sick and made me throw up. Honestly never expected it to be like this. This place has just lost a customer! If you don’t want to get food poisoning or sick don’t come to this place please.
What a little gem! This is probably the best Mexican food in Central Oregon. Definitely the best that I’ve tried so far. Totally legitimate/authentic, and they even have a little carniceria so you can get fresh chicharrones!
The food was affordable and delicious. Real AUTHENTIC, Mexican food. Service was fast and friendly. Family friendly place to eat, seems like a very small place but they have plenty room to sit and dine. A friend referred us to this place, as he is a usual customer when he travels.
I spent $45 for three burritos. Worst burritos I’ve ever had. Low quality ingredients, definitely will not come back.
The best authentic Mexican food in Central Oregon! No joke, the menu is 95% in Spanish, with very few pics. All good, I can speak enough Spanish to pass, but no worries, the lady at the counter taking orders speaks good English. It is very small, with 7 booths inside, and 3 fold-up chairs to sit on while people wait for carry-out. I ordered the caldo de res, and it comes with house-made salsas, house-made gordita tortillas, chile's, lime, onions, cilantro, a side of rice and dried oregano. I also got a burrito con pollo, and together I couldn't finish them. Delicious! My wife got the over easy eggs, with beans and rice, and they were served on top of a corn tortilla with both red and green sauce. They also came with torts on the side. There were a few work crews in there having lunch when we went, and they all seemed to be ordering either tacos or a burrito, and most had a bottle of Coca-Cola, so next time I will try the tacos. Atmosphere gets a 3 only because there is not even one picture of anything on the walls, and a single TV up in the corner. Perhaps they dont want you to get too comfy, seeing they have very limited seating. The food though, boy o boy, I have yet to order something from La Frontera that I dont want another order of to take home! Also, they recently took over the building behind the restaurant and made it onto a little grocery store. It used to be a ballerina school. Also, if you haven't tried their bakery just a few blocks down, oh man, please go!
Food was good, however the prices have gotten our of control. Prices do not match the service or the environment, I understand how inflation is affecting us all, however, two bucks for a fried egg? I spent somewhat similar as If I were at the Olive Garden, for half the food/service/ cleanliness and quality of food.
La Frontera definitely has some of the best authentic Mexican food!! Highly recommended and I will always return!Recommended dishesEnchiladas Verdes Green Enchiladas, Pozole, Chimichanga
