If you are hesitant to give it a go, don't be! This gym checks all the boxes no matter your fitness level or activity preferences. They offer it all! I moved about an hour away but still look forward to the days I can get there. If you have any questions ask Dominic. He's super knowledgeable, personable and dedicated to helping each member reach their goals. Even if a couple months pass by he remembers you and greets you with the biggest smile! I've been in a lot of gyms and this one is by far my favorite!
I don't personally work out often at this particular location but I did have a wonderful experience with one of their sales Reps named Kristin so I wanted to share. I called the Oshawa location with a grievance regarding another location. Luckily for me I was transferred to Kristin for more information and she handled my situation with such care. She took the time to answer my questions, follow up with her manager, and even liaison with the other location for me. She arranged meetings and made sure my monthly fee issue was rectified swiftly. I cannot express enough just how wonderful she was to deal with, Kristin is a true asset to this team and is an MVP when it comes to client experience. I hope this review gets her some recognition and possibly even a raise because that girl deserves it. She went above and beyond! I will definitely visit this location more often as she reflects so positively on their staff.
I never had any problems here personally. I just find it ironic that they have the automatic doors with the press of a button for those with disabilities, yet no elevator inside for people with disabilities to get to the top floor?? Like... What?nnLess of a knock on the gym itself so it's a bit of an unfair criticism but the gym etiquette here is appalling. No one puts weights away or puts them away properly. Never seen a gym this bad before when it comes to racking weights after use. Not sure how they can change that but you have to go on scavenger hunts to find weights sometimes.nnAs I said before though, the gym itself is fine. Has all the equipment you could want. Good size pool and hot tub too.
If the gym wasn’t so messy I’d be giving 5 stars. They need to put up more signs saying please re rack your weights. This gym has gotten so messy it’s ridiculous. Nobody puts their weights or dumbbells away. Weights and dumbbells are left everywhere. I do see one worker always putting away weights but she shouldn’t have to clean up after grown adults. And even then it’s still messy because people continue not to re-rack. PLEASE put more signs to re rack your weights. Found 2 , 25lbs dumbbells in the bathroom the other day, like really? Not the gyms fault but please implement putting away your weights away. I know there’s a few signs but there needs to be more. - from a member of 3 years thank you.
Water fountain upstairs is always broken which means you have to walk all the way downstairs in the middle of a workout just to get water. Dom the “manager” seems to have issues with people of colour, he targets me and my friend a lot and I eye-witnessed him and the other staff overlook their so called “regulars” specifically Caucasians. I feel the gym community is good but the staff needs to all be replaced. Seems like they hire anybody and customer service is not important to them.nnHead office please look into management and the staff at this location.
