I could not believe they would not play the jays game. They had at least 8 TV screens and they refused to put the game on one screen. We stayed at the hotel L’Empress which is attached to the restaurant and we cannot get the game in our room. EPIC FAIL!!!
Food was very good note - some of it may be a bit spicy, except french fries - we found them mediocre.nFast service though, need to admit - the place was almost empty when we went there, not sure how it works out when it is crowded.nif you don't speak French - language barrier does exist to a certain extent, but it did not make a trouble for us.
We ordered our food very near closing time as we had just gotten to our hotel. It was done quickly, and it was absolutely perfect. The people working there were very accommodating as well. Unfortunately I don't speak any French but they made sure that wasn't going to be a problem. Probably the best meal we had while on our long weekend getaway. We had wings, fries, Buffalo burger and fish tacos. A++
Good food but not very accommodating if you do not speak French.nnServer was quite disgusted that I spoke English. A one point when trying to say thank you in French, a comment was made by the server to which she, another staff member and other patrons laughed at me. Did not check in once I had my food and was ignored until I asked for my bill.nnI understand the language barrier is difficult but it is for both parties.nnI would have liked to have spent more time and money as I had time to kill however it was not welcoming.
Looks like a nice place, but was very loud inside. We were there for supper on a snowmobile trip. Service was poor, we waited an hour for our orders to be taken, once the food came half of it was cold, then it took another hour to get our bills.
