We've been going there for several years. Food is always great - fresh, hot, plentiful. Staff is friendly & helpful. It can get loud, but that is part of the sugar shack experience. Will keep coming hopefully forever! :-
A different sugar-bush experience! Decided to try this location for some sugar-bush buffet treat. We had a lovely experience. Prices were reasonable and were taken care by very friendly bilingual staff. Although they didn't have sugar-pie their crepes were excellent. My wife enjoyed the meals here, so we plan in coming here again. Tres Bon!
The service was excellent once inside, but overall the food wasn't worth the 3h+ it took for us to get a seat. Probably the longest wait I've ever experienced at a sugar shack, we arrived at 11am and didn't get seats until 2:45pm on a Sunday. We won't be coming back and can't recommend it unless you come when it's less busy or at least eat something else before coming.
They had a small factory and old kitchen to visit. Food was ok for the price. Staff was friendly and bilingual. However, not the best place if you are a small group and have children below 5 years old. For a group of 15, you can reserve but in our case because we were only 7, we had to wait 3 hours before being seated. It is a challenge with small children specially after a long car ride. It was also difficult to understand the person calling the groups over the speaker. The bathrooms are not really accommodated for diaper change, they are extremely small and very few compared to the amount of people. We will probably not return.
Went two years in a row during sugar season and both times it was an absolute delight. The pig cheeks are salty and to die for and the atmosphere in the dining hall is unlike anything I've found in the Ontario sugar shacks I've been to. It feels authentic, tastes authentic, and will definitely be a place I return to once COVID finishes. My biggest suggestions are to come just a little before the peak season, come hungry, and if you enjoy the pig cheeks like I do...drink lots of water.
Open for 2019. Great food and service
Bring the whole family!! This place is great. No alcohol but you're able to bring your own and the don't charge a cork fee! Love the "pig ears" beans were delicious. I'll be back for sure! Like my post if this helps you make a decision!
Such a fun and cute experience! Delicious breakfast buffet.
Great traditional Quebec sugar shack. They get very busy so reservations are highly recommended. They could improve how they handle the check in, we had 1100am reservations, whole group arrived at 1040 and waited in line for 25 min to buy our tickets so ended up not going in until 1120-30 cause they dont sit groups untill full group has arrived and checked in by buying their ticket. Vut highly worth the wait. Still its still a great place to get the great traditional sugar shack experience. Dont expect fancy, its rustic but well worth it!
2019: service felt rushed to accommodate large amount of people waiting. Food is VERY basic. The best part was the hired musician who plays in the lobby. Too bad you couldn't hear him in the dinning area.
