La Belle Nails & Spa

I used to love this salon, it was my go to for pedicures and I always felt it was clean. However I after my recent visit I contracted a very painful nail infection that was from unsanitary tools. I went to the doctors and got medication thankfully it was nothing a few weeks of antibiotics could not cure. I decided to call the salon and let them know what happened the manager I spoke to did ask me to come In and talk to her. I came in and she asked to see the infection, when I took off my shoes to show her she looked and seemed very sceptical. She just said there have been people with worse and that the salon is kept very sterile. This to me seemed like an excuse she seemed to just justify that this could not possibly be from them, that maybe it was an ingrown. Which it was not, my doctor specifically said it was an infection not an ingrown nail. I left the salon feeling more upset and I will surely never go back.

I went in for a walk in. They were nice to take me in. I was asked to pick a polish. I did, said the this one is better. I have had gel nails done before so I did know what to expect. I also had nail extensions what would have come off with my nails once trimmed. The lady told me that she could not charge for a fill she had to do the entire thing. Which was BS. but I played along and said "OK" she took everything of ......and then some. she went to town on the layers of my nails. Once she put the gel on and I put it in the machine, I was floored on how pain full it was I could not keep my hands in there. I dreaded each time I had to stick a finger in. What was even more bothering was she said "does it hurt" and giggled . when she was done under my nails felt like they literally were burnt. I could not believe it. A manicure is supposed to be relaxing and something nice you do for yourself not torture yourself. I will never ever go there again, would not recommend it for any gel nail mani. One start for taking me in for a walk in.

These ladies are the best. My friends and I love coming here for their amazing pedicures. They always do such a good job and spend lots of time exfoliating and massaging your feet and legs. It's wonderful. They also do really nice shellac nail polish that lasts for weeks without chipping or cracking.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND* (have to give 1 star to write a review- but they get negative in my opinion) went in for shellac manicure & asked for only manual tools, no electric as my nails are too thin & it burns me. The tech said it would be an extra $10... So they would rather burn people than take more time to not injure their clients....... Awful business.
