This place should deserve a 5 star rating. The beef brisket soup is absolutely amazing!! The broth is light, not heavy in flavor... loaded with beef brisket chunks, ground pork, loaded with bok choy veggies... The best part you can load your own fresh chilli that's not too spicy... Holy, their chilli oil is out of this world with that chinese peppercorn. BTW, you can purchase the chilli oil in a jar for a fair price. I do noticed after covid the price went up almost $3-$4.. it's steep for a bowl of noodle soup, but worth it!!
I tried their beef brisket noodle soup recently as I was told this location is the best and I was pleasantly surprised. There was shredded meat, sliced beef, beef brisket, and a nice amount of vegetables with the noodles. Everything tasted quite good and the brisket definitely stood out the most. I would go again given the price and the quality and quantity of the food.
The secret is to get the Chinese style beef noodle soup when you're here! As far as downtown foodcourt food goes, it's quite good in terms of taste and value. The other menu items are not as exciting however. I recommend putting a decent sprinkling of white pepper on top to enhance the soup.
Fantastic beef brisket noodle soup and seafood noodle soup! Expect more Chinese flavours than Japanese flavours but you really can’t go wrong with the above two options.
Love the beef brisket noodle so much! We shared one bowl and it’s super yummy!
What happened? New management? This used to be my five-star favourite for shrimp soup, but today there ware new people at the till and making the soup. The young man at the till was rude, there were almost no green tops attached to any of my bok choy, and the noodles were all 2"-3" long. She put cilantro in when I specifically asked for "just green onions". I'll give it another chance, but this was a huge disappointment.
As a sichuan people, this spicy oil tasted like my hometown flavor . I haven’t go back for 3 years now. Miss everyone one thereeee
Although most shops are closed in the area at this time, you will find this amazing noodle shop still in operation with extra care to hygiene ofc! Note that they still operate on weekdays during the lockdown period, and will resume as usual once this crisis is passed. The beef brisket noodle soup is as delicious as always! Take one to go!
The shop itself claims it has the best beef noodle in Calgary, while I am not certain without trying out all the restaurants, its claim has some truth to it. The noodle soup base is certainly a notch above all the other ones I tried recently. The beef brisket itself is average. The noodle they use is a rice based thick noodle, not my favorite type. Line up is pretty insane around lunch time, get there early to avoid line up, 11:30am is still pretty quiet. If you end up having to line up, remember you line up first to pay to get your ticket before lining up for food.
Price is decent and portion is good. The beef brisket and noodles taste good. Line up is long but moves pretty fast. I don’t like the broth that much.
