I recently dined at a this restaurant, while visiting from the lower mainland, and was thoroughly impressed. The food was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor, particularly the dips which were simply divine. The service was exceptionally attentive, ensuring our needs were met promptly. The ambience of the restaurant was quaint and sweet, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. Without a doubt, I would rate it a perfect 10 out of 10.
Someone commented something along the line of a slab of donair meat isn't a kabob. It is though, that's what a MEDITERRANEAN kabob is if you look it up. They are so good! I'm from Vancouver and have had many types of food, this place is one of the top. The flavours were spot on.nThe server explained to us how they recommend to eat the dishes, much appreciated.nI didn't have the soup, but it was potato barley and 2 people who had it said they liked it enough to just come back for the soup.nWe also got pita crisps with tzatziki and hummus, obviously delicious. The pickle/olive platter though, oh my, it was outstanding of you like pickled things!nThe Persian spiced chai was really nice and came with a saffron rock sugar stick.nLastly, the owner I think he was the owner? was so kind! At the end of the meal I wanted to purchase some pickles and the pickled turnips. They don't sell the turnips but he gave me a nice big container to take home nWe will absolutely be back when we are back in Trail for a visit!!
I travel to Trail about once a month for work and every time, kootney kabab is my go to. I always her their koobideh dinner and it never disappoints. My partner even asks me to bring leftovers back to Kelowna frequently! The restaurant is family run and they’re very passionate about sharing their culture
Very delicious vaziri kebab and garlic yougurt moosir. The best koobideh kebab I had ever tried in BC. Perfect customer service and the owners are very polite. Love the atmosphere and the traditional decorations.
Fast, attentive service. Great looking menu. I had the Donair with pita chips and homous, which was amazing and only $20 with a can of Pepsi. Will be coming back regularly. I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the food as it didn't last long enough.
