Great day trip to go up to the waterfall. Very easy hike and beautiful scenery. Bald eagle’s, deer, cranes and peaceful. Can’t go wrong.
Very beautiful area though not much to see at the reserve itself. Some interesting wildlife, such as beavers and deer, and a good variety of birds, osprey, bald eagles, peregrine falcon, pheasants, and many more Canadian geese than can be counted. Can recommend Myrtle Falls trail and the Kootenay River running nearby. The nearby river also has a great place to camp for free. Highly recommended.
Absolutely gorgeous! This is a great place to find some amazing views. You don't even have to hike if you don't want to, the drive up the mountain is amazing! Just make sure if you do want to drive UP, you should have an SUV or something similar, its good to have the ground clearance and AWD. I only drove halfway up, but it was still 10/10 views.
This was more enjoyable than I expected. Granted, my mother gave my kids monetary incentive to spot specific wildlife, my kids had a great time as did I doing this loop. I also discovered the Myrtle Creek Falls nearby. Very short trail but beautiful once you get to the falls. It's a good workout. Not too difficult but not super easy for those of us out of shape.
Really peaceful little walk by then river. Good place for kids and adults. You can walk back into the woods further if you like, or just a little up hill on the path so you can see the waterfall. Definitely reccomend anyone in the area to stop.
Beautiful walk up to the falls and well maintained. Easy to get to. Went Memorial Day and wasn't busy.
Gorgeous and very low key. Beautiful flood plain and lots of waterfalls in the mountains.
This was a great area you can find waterfalls wetlands and beautiful scenery
Enjoyable. The trail was easy to follow. The roads were well maintained and accessible.
Stopped in the pull out at night to take pictures of the moon. Was an owl perched in a tree. Couldn't get out to take pictures because of the mosquito swarm.
