My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at KOMA. We made reservations after a co-worker recommended this restaurant. We ordered the tuna special, arugula salad and rice balls. For our entrees I ordered the cod, my girlfriend ordered lamb. Everything was outstanding. I was most impressed with my cod entree. It has lobster tail shrimp and mussels. It's been a long time since I've had a seafood medley dish that had absolutely no seafood smell; so fresh! Everything on that plate was cooked perfectly soft, buttery, and delicious. My girlfriend enjoyed her lamb and especially the rice balls. The service staff were attentive and expeditious. The server was knowledgeable of the food and the wine list and pairings. I like the colors in the dining room. They're very warm and contemporary. We enjoyed our dinner very much. I will return.
This is hands down the best upscale restaurant in the area. The spot is intimate, waitstaff, knowledgeable and kind. The food comes out quick and the combinations in each dish are mouth wateringly delicious. Pictured is the: entree of AAA steak, arancini, the steak appetizer yes, I adore red meat and what I believe was the breaded cod filet entree. The sauces, the textures, the pairings. It is all amazing. On a side note, every meal comes with fresh bread AND although it may seem pricey I am not joking when I say these portions are SO LARGE that I have at least 2-3 meals from my left overs! Please support this restaurant. I promise you WILL NOT be disappointed besides the fact of having not gone sooner!
Great little spot for decadent rich food! We love the creativity and flavors. Excellent food presentation and portions are huge. Some dishes we find can be quite salty but ultimately very tasty. Staff are warm and knowledgeable about the menu. Atmosphere is quaint but could use a few updates.
The food was excellent. The wait staff was very nice and accommodating, they let us move tables. The atmosphere complimented the intimate dining experience we were looking for.Food: 5/5
At first glance, the place is a lot smaller than it looks from the outside. They had a counter with bar on one side and some seating on the other. I can see why many people recommend getting a reservation due to it's small capacity; wasn't very busy when we were there, only opens four hours or so every day. The complementary bread was okay; olive with bread, wished the bread was toasted a bit more. We got the egg drop soup; thought that was a bit on the salty side, but was okay overall. We ordered the rigatoni and fettuccini; at first I thought they put way too much arugula, but the more I ate, the better the dishes tasted. The food was a bit on the pricey side but the portions did seem larger than most Italian restaurants. Overall, I would recommend trying this place only on special occasions due to the high price.
Wow! This is probably the greatest restaurant in Windsor. We were a group of ten. Practically everyone ordered the beef brisket which was served with ravioli and shrimp on a plank. My spouse had the beef tenderloin served with gnocchi. Spectacular! Generous portions! Great, attentive wait staff!Food: 5/5
Great food, and lots of it. The atmosphere and staff are awesome. I would recommend this place, but a reservation is best. The dessert was awesome, we had the carrot cheese cake and tiramisu.Food: 5/5
I’m very disappointed that I have to write this review, over all the atmosphere was good, and our waitress was fantastic and took great care of us. The issue I had was with the food. I ordered the Pacific Cod which is served with dill cream sauce poured on top. The problem I had with this is that it is served in a bowl, so everything under the cod taste like dill, the lobster, the shrimp, and the pasta. The worst part of my dinner was the horrendously prepared gnocchi. It was gummy, and felt like I was eating paste. I honestly thought they served me mashed potatoes. For the price you pay, and the “house made pasta” I expected more.
The service was great and the food was phenomenal. We loved the atmosphere and Chef Mike even visited us tableside to ensure our experience was as wonderfula as it turned out to be!
Image on the left is stuffed salmon while the image on the right is rainbow trout. Not only was the presentation pleasing to the eye the pairing of flavors is beyond description. It's an experience to savor and enjoy. Have definitely found a new favorite place to dine. As you can see portions are very generous! Can hardly wait to go back!
