Knock Knock Shoppe

My daughter and I walked into the store on a rainy day. Both of us apologized for being wet when we entered and were completely ignored by the staff standing one foot from us, while another staff member a few feet away eyed us with disdain. We wandered into the clothing/jewelry section of the store with a staff member hot on our heels very intent on our every movement and rushing in after us to ensure that we had not pocketed anything. Having never stolen anything in my life, I was very offended, left the store and will never go back. Horrid, sour, unfriendly staff cancels out the appeal of the lovely though over-priced merchandise.

As I walked into the store my breath was taken away by the display of the most breathtaking linens. I went upstairs and there are thousands of pieces of furniture; to clocks, figurines, and the most amazing furniture. After walking through all of rooms upstairs I went downstairs to the other side of their show room to discover the most magnificent women’s clothing and jewellery. I can’t wait for a special occasion because I’m going back to that store to buy something nice. Some info: Established in 1990. This 6000 square foot store is located in the 1860’s heritage stone Baldachin Building in the heart of picturesque Merrickville They are the largest quilt retailer in the Ottawa region, featuring Luxury Beds, Bedding, Home Decor and Ladies Fashion Accessories including Costume Jewelry and colourful one-size-fits-all Popcorn Tops.

Nice variety of clothing that you don't see in most stores. Many beautiful quilts and other goodies.
