My new favorite bike shop! The salesman who was the manager/owner, I think? was very knowledgeable and helpful, and in no way pushy or pretentious which SO many bike shops are. Not the biggest selection of bikes and accessories, but their prices were generally good and he cut me a great deal on the tires I ended up ordering. They had some amazing end-of-season sales prices on some great bikes as well.
The experience I had with this store was really nice in terms of friendliness, speed of service and knowledgeable staff. Once I walked into the store and headed off to the bikes, a salesperson named Cole, approached me within a few minutes asking if I needed assistance. I explained to him what I was looking for they did not have the bike I originally wanted and showed me a few options, while keeping in mind of what riding experience I wanted. He educated me on a couple of technical things 29ers vs 27.5 and did not pressure me into purchasing a bike. Very non-threatening, informative and overall a great experience at this store. I did not end up purchasing a bike from this location as I already had my eyes set on a different branded bike but I felt that my positive experience needed to be shared to anyone looking for a bike.
Terrible experience. Went in with my daughter to purchase her first real bike. Salespeople hardly acknowledged us, and not very knowledgeable. Felt as if we were intruding on them! Probably would give them 2 stars if it was just me, but no excuses for that treatment in front a 6 year old girl.
They are one of the most helpful bike shops. I am a bigger guy looking to getting into biking and they were every helpful getting me into the bike that I needed. They went above and beyond in customer service with many call backs and in store help. If your looking to buy a bike Klondike Cycle is the way to go.
I've been shopping at Klondike Cycle for many years with my family & it has always had a fantastic atmosphere surrounded with knowledgeable staff. They have great product selection & the employees are willing to go above & beyond to satisfy the needs of a customer. I highly recommend this shop for all your cycling, hockey & ringette needs!
I have been shopping around from bike store to bike store and finally decided on a bike with the help from the a few of Klondike staff. I just wanted to give you guys a BIG shout out. Thanks for going the extra mile with me and my girlfriend. I feel comfortable and confident that we have everything we need for our next big trip and they fit perfect on our new rack. I will definitely be coming back and sending in some buddies. Thanks again!
Today I dropped a friends bike off to have the front derailer adjusted. While I was trying to explain the issues, the mechanic was talking over me and treating me like some kind of idiot. He stated the rear shock pressure was likely to high. My friend had purchased the bike at this shop and was never asked her weight to adjust the shock pressure and fit the bike properly, seat to low, bike to small. They took advantage of a woman that is new to biking and sold her a bike that is to small and didn't bother to set the bike for her what so ever. This is a 5 minute fix and the mechanic said it would take 6 days before it could be picked up. This person was rude, unprofessional and didn't take the time to listen to my feedback. And sold her the WRONG size bike just to get rid of old stock that doesn't sell. I will never step foot back in this store again and will advise all my friends also.
After reading a few negative reviews I was hesitant to have bike work done here; but I was in the area and gave it a shot. Joel at the service counter did a great job replacing my spoke and truing the wheel, the turnaround was fast and the price cheap. I would trust them with other repairs.
First time - went there because they are a Raven Hockey Stick distributor, but we are a multi-sport household and always love a good sports store. That they are! Lots of stock, knowledgable but not clingy staff combined is a great atmosphere! A lot out of our way, but will absolutely be back for some other... 2-wheeled needs!!!
A few weeks prior I brought my KHS road bike into the store to have some work completed on it, at the time they where unable to find the parts online and informed me that they would call the following day to let me know the price of the repairs. After several days passed I had not received a phone call, I went into the store to inquire with staff to which the informed me they simply forgot about my bike. I found that as a new customer to this store the service was extremely poor and staff never once made an attempt to approach myself to apologize for the forgotten service. Furthermore, I walked into the store in hopes of trading in my new bicycle and purchasing a new one. After approximately 10 minutes I was approached by a sales associate only to be referred to another, which clearly did not care about making a sale or educating me on the type of bikes they offered. After several more minutes awaiting an appraisal I was offered $40.00 which was found insulting, for a KHS road bike. When asked why, they where not able to give me a direct answer. I felt as if staff weren't knowledge and did not care to put any sort of effort into helping customers. Would not recommend. Revolution cycle is close by and would totally recommend.
