Story

Dense forests enfold Kinzua East KOA in the Allegheny National Forest. Deer and other wildlife may wander by as you doze by the pool or campfire. A classic excursion takes you through the near-wilderness to Kinzua Bridge State Park. The vista from a viewing platform is splendid, especially when fall colors are ablaze. Enjoy KOA's hayrides, barbecues and big summer-weekend breakfasts. Your hosts provide a map for hikers and bikers. You're also 10 minutes away from record-breaking pike and walleye fishing on the 12,000-acre Allegheny Reservoir. Bring your boat or rent one, no limit on motor size. Golfers head for Pine Acres Country Club's 18-hole, world-class golf course and the Seneca Allegany Casino. Explore four-wheeling trails nearby. Big and small game hunting available. Bear is the Monday before Thanksgiving, and buck is the Monday after Thanksgiving.

I wish I could have given zero stars to get to this point. This campground sucked. There was NOTHING for the kids to do. Bathrooms were dirty and run down. We had one night free and we all voted to leave on Saturday. There were privet camps in the middle of the campground. There is a handicap bathroom but there was no ramp, you had to walk up steps. No KOA employee going around checking on campground or campers. I could go on with nothing good to say. We will NEVER return to this KOA again. Already called corporate and complained.

My husband and I have stayed at this koa several times over the last 4+ years. The owners are very nice. It's a good location for us to travel from to visit family in the area and all the beautiful sights Mckean county has to offer. We were a little disappointed on our most recent visit to find out there wouldn't be pancake breakfast. Also, should point out that the bathrooms are in need of some attention. We travel with our dogs and are glad to have a dog friendly koa in the area.

Quiet, spacious sites. Convenience/ beer stores down the road. Small arcade with pool table for the kids. Close to trails. Friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay.
