Gypsy Cabins, Allegeny State Park

Just like the website says, non electric cabin in a great state park. Clean, rustic cabin, firepit, woodstove inside, stove,oven. This is a dry roof over your head and a stove for cooking. 4 cots/beds and a front porch. Good basic cabin. Bring your cooler.

Allegany is always wonderful but I was very disappointed in the promised cleanliness and upkeep of the bathrooms and facilities during COVID. Bathrooms ran out of toilet paper daily, even after I told management, and they were cleaned late in the day and left dirty throughout the day and night. This was not the experience that I hoped for or was promised during the pandemic and is disappointing when we kept our reservations AND booked early for 2021 to support the parks system.

My bf and I took our first camping trip together here. We always stay in the same cabin now 26. There's a little hole at the bottom of the door and the cutest mouse got into our cabin it was adorable. It's a good location too, close to the picnic area, you can walk to trails and the store, but it's not right on the road so you dont hear the cars that occasionally drive by

Ok the cabins are one room rustic. If you not used to roughing it a bit get electric cause you will go through ice and fire wood. But allways a great time

It was good fun! If you're camping in the fall or winter, make sure you have dry wood for the burner inside or you'll have a very cold experience!

This park is awesome! Had a family reunion! Soooo nice! Clean, well-groomed public areas, children's playground AND clean restrooms! Thank you Allegheny State Park! WELL DONE!

It was amazing it has a play ground and a creek perfect for kids but if you get a heater it is very loud but other than that it was amazing

Great experience. Nothing like staying in a cabin with a wood stove and propane lights. Cheap rental. Great park.

Very disappointed on how you have to get a cabin.

Ok. Very close to other cabins. People letting there dogs run around not on a leash. Ehh. Look for the one that faces the creek.
