KINKA IZAKAYA, a popular izakaya-style restaurant now most famous for its bustling atmosphere, was established in the winter of 2009 in the heart of downtown Toronto. When you walk through our doors, you will feel as though you're dining in Japan. KINKA IZAKAYA offers an authentic dining experience of popular Japanese eateries, and is a pioneer in introducing Toronto to the world of authentic izakaya fare and superior Japanese-style hospitality.

At KINKA IZAKAYA, we invite you to explore Japanese cuisine beyond just sushi. Executive Chef Ippei Iwata brings forth a menu boasting a variety of traditional and modern specialties made for sharing. I love this place! Everything from the food, customer service, and overall vibe of the location. I definitely prefer this location compared to their other ones other ones are good too, but this one has a different energy and atmosphere. We have celebrated many birthdays here in the past and hoping for many more after Covid 19!!

Good is so amazing and unique! It was my first experience at a restaurant with this sort of set up and I loved it! Sadly COVID decreased the fun as we were allowed to do the sake bomb. Definitely try the oysters and Macha cheesecake for dessert

This app keeps pressuring me to review. I did not like the food very much but giving 5* because the service was great and the food is probably great for what it is, it's just not for me. For example the chicken ramen had a fishy taste to it

We got the Sapporo pitcher, the karubi, spicy salmon tartare and the beef tartare. Food here is really good. We tried the green morning I’m pretty sure that was the name cocktail - definitely for people that like sweeter drinks but the melon and lychee combo really does work. They have a cute outdoor space too. Definitely recommend!

We love this place so much! Food is always so fresh and tasty! Best okonomiyaki and takoyaki in Toronto! Staff are always nice and service is fast and efficient. You can’t go wrong!

I sent my friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is yummy and the team is generous and cooperative. always when we eat in this place we have a pleasing time.  I warmly recommend this restaurant.

I love the environment of this place. The staff is very engaged with the customers and you feel very welcome when you walk in. The food is very reasonably priced. The variety on the menu is outstanding. Yes, the food is delicious. It's open late and a great place to catch up with friends over a beer and tapas style Japanese food.
