Unfortunately closest to my home. Disgusting, not many of the machines work which means you have to wait for ages with the other victims.. dryers are littered with melted clothing and buttons, machines don’t spin properly and clothes come out soaking.. Woman is rude and gets way to close and up in your face. Saying my money looks fake. TERRIBLE place! AVOID AVOID AVOID.
This is a self-coined laundry place. It runs every Monday through Sunday for 7pm to 9pm. It also went into operation on January 1. Everything was convenient to use here. However, because there is no coin changer, you must prepare coins and buy laundry detergent from vending machine, but you must prepare 70pence coins. If 70pce is not ready for coins, it cannot be used. You can't use a pound coin even if you have one. In addition, if you are going to use this Laundromat for the first time, you should read the instructions carefully. You should not concern about putting coins in a payment machine to use the washing machine. After you put the coin in, it will work automatically in 15 seconds. So before you insert the coin, first decide how to use it and then at the end, insert the coin. You can use this place well enough if you read the instructions first.
There is a lady working there in the mornings and she is very helpful and kind. It is £5 to wash clothes £1 soap included or you can bring your own soap and £4 to dry them. We are on holiday in the UK and found the service excellent.
Machines don't work and there is no way to return coins or check which are turned on. Avoid unless you have like 20 pound coins to check which machine is even working.
I am most unfortunately a regular of this laundromat. I can confirm that the owners are rude. The woman won’t leave you alone when you are doing your laundry. She is also very aggressive, loud and a bit of a personal space invader. The man usually ignores you and I prefer when he is there to be honest. I can actually just get on with it. I have lost money in the first dryer before and basically gave up on trying to get it back because the owners are difficult.. Same story as an earlier comment where halfway through I noticed that the dryer wasn’t heating up. Also you should know that the dryers are SUPER HOT. The place looks like a kids “school project” with some knobs in the dryers being made of tin foil or lip balm container lids. It’s also fairly disgusting and doesn’t look like the floor has been washed in ages. So don’t drop your knickers ladies.
I use this laundromat regularly. Great service from welcoming owners. Provides washing, drying, drycleaning, tailoring and ironing services for low prices. The machines were reliable and there are clear instructions to help use them. There is someone there to help everyday of the week.
Read others reviews before coming here. AVOID at all costs…
Don't expect shiny new equipment but they get the job done. I had my own soap with me, so I don't know if there is any in the premises. I was informed that there is usually someone there to help from 11.00-15.00.
I am gob smacked with the shoddy service that I had in Coin Wash Laundrette, I only use it occasionally and last time about a week ago I happen to lose £3 as I wanted to cancel the drying cycle and decided to only put £2 instead of £3. However the machine did not refund me the money and as result I lost the whole £3. I couldn't speak to anyone in the launderette at that time as it was a bit late towards closing. Few days later I went back to wash my clothes again and did find who is believed to be the manager and thought I mention to him about the other day when the machine took my money and couldn't get it back, he turned out and said that he wishes that I lost more money so I don't have to come back there again and was nodding as if I am the one to blame and deserve what I got, without a word of apology or showing any sings of pity about it. Shame on some people who don't even have the quality on how to talk to others , this old man was the worst of them all giving the best example of a shoddy and inferior customer service. I will Never go back there again.
This place is a total rip off and Kingston council need to do something about them.Avoid this place I went to wash and the machines are set so the don't spin out your clothes so you end up spending loads of money. When you complain the large man is rude and obnoxious telling me I overload the machine when I clearing hadn't he then flip a switch in the back and spun the clothes after I threatened to call the police because this was clearly theft. You easily spend a £10 to dry your clothes.Its a con and a rip off. Avoid like the plague. No ratings
