"The museum is housed in the old courthouse which was built in 1903, and served as Kings County's seat of justice for more than seventy-five years. The building was purchased by the Kings Historical Society in 1980, and has been operated as a museum ever since. The original courtroom and furnishings continue to be maintained today as one of the museum's outstanding permanent exhibits."

This was a nice get away for part of our day. Search for the hidden cats and do a carving items hunt to win a prize. There's lots to look at . Quilt room is very beautiful. So many trinkets from all different nations. Some very interesting finds for sure. Would definitely recommend this for anyone. There's something for all ages. Lots of historical books to browse and purchase. The staff were really super friendly and helpful. The history.of the building.itself was amazing. How well kept the wood work is and Also the court room upstairs was still as it was back then. The glass room is nice to browse but would definitely keep and eye on kids. Some of the first settlers and families who came here are also on display . The bride's room with after wedding dress was neat to see. A really old creepy doll lol. I never really knew what the independent order of fellowship was until seeing the display all about its history and what they actually did years ago. Just an amazing spot to explore.

A most visit. Great exhibits. Knowable staff
2005. Looking for my great grandparents grave. The folks who do genealogy were great! They gave me tons of info and directions to the cemetery. I gave them current info. Win Win.
Very interesting. Lots of old maps, pictures and descriptions of historic houses in the Annapolis Valley and Halifax. Friendly knowledgeable staff.
Amazing map that shows everything that was ever in the valley, as well as tons of other nifty little things. Cool family history thing with very knowledgeable people in the bottom
You would be surprised at what you will find. Take a friend along with you, spend some quality time, check it out completely, see what you will find.

food okay but construction made noise unbearable on stairs...whole time we were there...not enjoyable that way
