I've been a member for over 45 years. Over that time I experienced the growth and addition of services. I never found the need to use the big 5 accept for favourable auto loan rates, albeit offered as specials by the vender. I always did give KCU a first chance though. However, over the past few years we've seen changes and not always for the better. For decades, the counter Associates knew my account number by memory. I realize that's an unrealistic expectation as the branch has grown larger and the old guard retired. Now I have to prove my identity when I'm on the phone or at the counter. Service levels have decreased over the past couple of years and communication has become difficult and in some cases never followed up. A direct call when actually answered, to reach any Associate is "always" directed to voicemail. The return call sometimes never happens. Emails "when responded to", are days after the initial inquiry. We purchased a property some months ago and our legal team expressed the same concerns over the difficult communications. As we have moved some distance away from our home branch, we will be closing our accounts after all these years. It's just too difficult to continue to conduct business. Our concerns have been directed by email several times and no follow-up has ever occurred. Edit in regards to response... Not sure how to contact other than emails I have for current manager.
Great Credit Union that invests in many social justice, education, scholarships and wellbeing programs/organizations in our community! Very kind staff that almost always go out of there way to help with my banking and investing. Offers Ethical Investments that align with my and my family’s values. Never pushy or pressure new credit cards, loans or accounts but will help you if you with them when you are interested. Always feel comfortable and and valued as a member and happy to be a part of a people & community-first Financial Institution!
Staff were friendly helpful even before I opened an account. They helped explain things to me and listened to what my needs were even though I was young.
Very pleased with the staff and how friendly they are at Kindred. Unlike my past banks, I call Kindred and someone answers without me going through prompt after prompt to get to someone. I have a personal and business account with Kindred and I'm very happy with their banking services and their fees are comparable maybe slightly on the lower end to other banks.
Astonishingly kind and professional. The staff has gone out of their way to help me as I battle a life-threatening illness. Best financial services experience of my life! Special shout out to Vicky and Sheryl!
Great bank. Would be 5 star if the hours where better.
