Story

With the largest patio in Cochrane, right next to the Cochrane Golf Course, and our spacious restaurant and bar that can accommodate both small and large groups, Killarney's has become the year-round destination for local Cochranites, golfers, team events, wedding and birthday parties.

As delicious as my pictures may look, don't be deceived food was below expectations. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, crab cakes, bison burger, and gnocchi. To start, service was nothing special, waited a while for drinks and for our food. And although nothing was cold, at least ask if we would like a refill on drinks or something. Especially when there are less then five people in the restaurant. My next issue was the portions compared to the price, entries and apps were way to much for what you got. Should have paid no more then $9 for three small crab cakes! But the main issue with my visit, was the crab cakes and gnocchi had like no flavor! Now I understand the pesto used to coat the gnocchi is usually bland, but come on! A little garlic and salt go a long way! Or put salt and pepper on the table! Now, I will say, that the bison berger with thick cut fries were really good, FULL of flavor, and I loved the sweetness of the caramelized onions to bring the dish together. As well as the stuffed mushrooms, the flavors used were good, not amazing, but good. Enough that I might even try them again. But would I come back, and or tell my friends to come check this place out??? Sure, if your not as picky as me, want to try a new place in Cochrane, and are willing to put up with the 50 year old alcoholic golfers, then no problem!
Perfect place for a family dinner. I went there with my hubby and my newborn. Good ambiance and staff super friendly. Lots of choice for beer and wine and also tasty food. I definitely recommend this place.
Beautiful and quiet hidden gem. Definitely worth the stop. The dog-friendly! patio backs onto the golf course and protects from any traffic noise. Very sweet staff and good pricing for decent food.
Amazing food and great service. What I really recommend is the Angry Irishman burger with a Guinness. They also have a small games room to hangout and kill some time with your friends.
We walked in and seated ourselves and it took our waitress a long time to greet us. We were ready to order when she came back with our drinks but she was more concerned with the larger table next to us. We both finished our drinks for at least 15 minutes and she still hasn't come back either with our food or to grab us more drinks. At this point, even if the food is spectacular I will be less than impressed with the service here. The whole restaurant is tired and run down looking. We will not be coming back. I ordered a quesadilla and it was swimming in grease, completely inedible even after using a stack of napkins to sop up the grease. Not very often you leave a restaurant feeling sick and still hungry. Don't waste your time here!
We’ve been to plenty of “family-friendly” pubs that were just that. Family friendly. This wasn’t one of them. We went at 5 with our two young children and were told that minors were welcome until 8. The place seemed calm and we took a seat at the back so as to not disturb anyone with our children. They even gave us a kids menu and crayons. What they failed to mention was that a golf tournament had just ended and so the atmosphere quickly changed after we sat down. There were literally drunks throwing coasters across the room and hitting our table. We should have been warned prior maybe specifically when we ASKED if it was a suitable place for our kids so that we could have left and chosen a different place to eat, instead of being subjected to that. On top of all that, the two entrees we chose were both unavailable, and our server didn’t tell us about that until after we ordered. Horrible experience. Will never return. Maybe they should consider not marketing themselves as family-friendly.
First time there on St. Patrick's day. It was crazy busy but the service was really good. The food was ok and price was acceptable but I can't seem to find any pub that doesn't over cook chicken wings. This should be easy pub food to make. They had some live music and it was excellent and they had the bat dancing and singing along. A good night and I would go again.
Great restaurant and delicious food. The pizza was amazing, and the sweet potato fries were the best we’ve ever had. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We’ll definitely be coming back again. Thanks, Killarney’s!
We went for an Irish live band night. It was great. Celtic music, fiddle, whistle flute, service was good, very much a pub. Can be sociable, eat a meal or snack, have a beer or wine, drinks, have a good selection of beers on tap, and of course the golf course is right there. Have a social room you can use. Service and food was good.
Fabulous new winter menu is all about comfort food! The fries are a must - order a sharing plate if you don't get any with your meal. Shepherd's pie and fish & chips are great. Just get over there to see for yourself
