This is the official Facebook presence of the Killarney Glengarry Community Association in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Community Association serving the communities of Killarney and Glengarry.

Killarney/Glengarry is bordered by 17th Avenue to the north, Richmond Road to the south, Crowchild Trail to the East, and 37th Street to the West. The area is know for its mature park-like landscaping and gentle hills.

The community centre (hall) located at 2828 – 28th Street SW features a lounge, kitchen, meetings rooms and capacity for 150 in a wheelchair accessible space.

We are a local preschool and hosted a skating social for our families. It was an amazing event and the families had such a great time! We rented the ice rink, and fire pit, and also had access to the hall washrooms. They let us set up our hot chocolate canteen as well. We will definitely consider hosting the same event at the KGCA next year.
I was able to participate in an artist and small business market over the Christmas holidays. The staff were very helpful when I had questions or requests, and I had a very positive experience at the event. Will definitely go again!
We went for a wedding, which was surprisingly interesting. The inside of the community center is pretty basic, a room and a small kitchen. A nice touch is it has its own built in speaker system, which is nice if you need to save some extra money on an event. The park is the best part of this center, lots of greenery, and great play set for the kids. The slide is a little fast, so be prepared to catch the little ones.
This is a review of the Killarney Glengarry Community Association Development Committee - this is the body that theoretically adds a community perspective on local development initiatives typically for land use changes in connection with redevelopment of lots. A shockingly loose committee. Not sure its clear on its mandate or on how to serve the community. Its clear its served its own gregarious purposes and is pretty much a city hall sycophant for density increases. For example: recent community newsletter includes a land use change notice to change zoning from and R2 lot to a multi residential allowing up to 4 or more units. The notice and how it is presented is misleading and serves to quell residents concern for it suggests that its administrative in nature only. When in fact that land change is being sought precisely to make a change in density and to build multiple units. A better functioning board would provide an education function and would reach out to community to get feedback not just run their own agenda. Having direct experience of one committee member heckle and "school" me and attempt to puts words in my mouth throughout my presentation ironically this persons is an "academic", it's clear to me that membership in committees needs to be considered more carefully. God help this community going forward.

Good place for your event
Love using the tennis courts here. Perfect in the summer, surrounded by trees that provide nice shade. The field is wonderful as well.
We had a lot of room and the center was nice but communication was not the best and nothing was available for us which was not the best expirence.
Absolutely impressed with the Killarney Glengarry Community Association in Calgary. As a professional DJ, I enjoyed my visit there. The washrooms were clean and the staff was very pleasant to deal with. Thanks again.
