This bank outsources many of its business support auxiliary network overseas to places like Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, and Hawaii. These offshore hubs have access to all your personal banking information in their system, mirroring that of the bank's mainframe. If you haven't suffered a loss by fraud in someway, may it be a little issue, a problem of sorts, or hundred of thousands of dollars out of pocket, becoming a target is not an unreasonable possibility. For example, if your customer account has had unauthorized or unusual activity you may already be at risk, i.e. a data breach has already occurred that compromises your personal information-ergo, susceptibility for misuse of that information anytime or any place, and to anyone linked to your name. Furthermore, whenever a clients information is submitted through security protocols, those sensitive details are passed to those outlets.
I opened a personal checking account with Key on 12/14/2020 & still have NOT recieved my ATM card via mail. I found out yesterday KEY bank can issue a temporary ATM card to be able to obtains funds through the ATM til my card comes. I contacted MEDINA KEY BANK today around 2:30pm & the gentlemen working idk his name but he was working today 1/14/2021 between 2:45pm - 4pm at the Medina OH KEY Bank Branch he stated I could come in right now and obtain a temporary ATM card. So I left my place of employment early because they close at 4pm. I got to Key Bank in Medina at 3:45pm, I'm assuming the same gentlemen as there was only one Male working behind the counter he stated they could not issue me a temp ATM as the machine is down. How come this information was not given to me when I contacted them at 2:45pm. When I asked how long the machine was down I was told all day. So I'm not exactly sure why I was told to come into the Key Branch in Medina OH at that very moment to get a temporary ATM card if the machine has been down all day. I'm already regretting switching to this bank. My advise is do not switch to Key only because the customer service has been absolutely horrible & I've had them only for about a month. Dont switch to KEY unless you want communication to lack & employees to waste your time with their incompetence! Good luck folks lol
Erin should be a teller. Don't let her do your serious banking. She should not be behind a desk. Only a bank teller at the most after the disaster she left out account with. :
Great Bank, great customer service. Recently opened an account with Key and couldnt be happier. They were friendly and answered all of my questions. I had an issue with check ordering but this was more of an issue with Harland, Key helped me resolve the issue .
I set up a bill pay account and Erin and Shelby were very helpful. This is the first time dealing with Key Bank and will open another account with them.
Like many, I don't venture inside an actual bank too often, but when I do they're always friendly, pleasant and helpful.
Drive-through takes for ever I would even give it one star
