I always have consistently good service here, alterations always perfect. One time there was an issue with a jacket I had dry cleaned which messed with the leather, and the manager arranged for the entire leather area to be replaced at no charge and it was better than before! If I could give 0 stars I would. I brought my Aritzia Ganna jacket in to get drycleaned as I spilled coffee on it. I brought it in on September 25th, and picked up on October 6th - upon coming home and trying it on i discovered the jacket had completely shrunk. Something that was once loose fitting was now skin tight and much shorter. I called and they asked that I bring it back and they would "stretch it out" mind you its wool. I brought it back and they had it about a week and half or so - tried it on in store upon pick up and of course it was still shrunk. Now I got the managers number who I phoned who advised it had not been brought to her attention so she wanted the opportunity to bring it back and stretch it out another time. I gave them that opportunity - naturally upon pickup for a second over a month later from when i originally brought it in - it's still not the same. I asked the person there if they would be paying my out for my jacket they advised there was nothing they could do. And here i am writing a review. Needless to say DO NOT COME HERE

Place was very tidy. We really enjoyed the food. It was very delicious

READ BEFORE GOING HERE. As soon as I walked in with a dress I needed fixed, I was met with attitude and negativity with regard to their services. There was a stain on the front, and the woman immediately said "oh no I don't know if we can get that out." Not like it's their job...also there was severe judgement with regard to the stain. It's your JOB. Then, I said, well I could also use some stitching to fix a tear, and the seamstress came over to look at the tear and LAUGHED at me saying "oh no, too much." I'm sorry, but when did being professional go out the window? When did businesses decide to say they can provide services and then not want to provide them? I even offered up the idea of being able to see the stitching in the mend being okay. Only that I needed it fixed. And she laughed at me. I was fed up at that point and said okay thanks. The woman was condescending up to the point I left, saying "Bye now!" After me. Will never set foot in there again.

Lost one of the 6 items I dropped off, and shrank another by 2 sizes.

This was by far the worst experience at a cleaner I have ever had. I went to get 3 items cleaned and fixed; a pair of pants, a coat and a sweater. I was suspicious that something would happen as soon as I arrived, as the two women bickered over how things should be done for 5 minutes in front of me. After asking if there would be a problem, they both advised me not to worry. Upon pick up, I was told I owed more than $50 for all of the cleaning and small repairs. Although steep, it's to be expected in the area in which the cleaner is located, so I coughed up my coin and left with my garments. Walking back to work, I peeked at each of my items and noticed that half of the repairs I had asked for were not completed. Turning swiftly around and back into the dry cleaners, I explained this to the young man behind the counter. Promising to speak with the seamstress, he said that I wouldn't be charged any more for the alterations I'd originally requested and I could pick them up again in a few days. I trusted that it was just a misunderstanding. Two days went by and I received a phone call from the woman I had originally dropped off my items with. She let me know that my pants were finished, and the coat was being sewn for an additional charge of $16. After explaining to her that I had already come to pick up the coat and that the requested alterations weren't done, she began to argue with me about whether or not I had even actually already payed for the jacket to be fixed! Obviously at this point I was extremely frustrated, and she placed me on the phone with the seamstress. The seamstress said nothing more than that she would do the alterations, although I would still have to pay $16 on top of what I already paid to have it fixed! She also said that perhaps the lady I previously spoke to might offer me a free dry clean, if I asked. At this point I was so upset that no one had even apologized ONCE for all the confusion and blatant disregard for my inconvenience. The last thing I was about to do was ASK to get a free cleaning, but the woman on the phone was so rude and relentless in telling me I was in the wrong, that I eventually asked her if she was planning on rectifying this issue for me. After a blunt - "No" - from her, I replied that I would like to pick up my clothes and that I refused to have them work on anything more for me. I hung up in tears and felt extremely wronged by the whole situation. A few minutes later, I called back to ask for the number of the owner, hoping to explain the situation to someone who might actually care/listen. She gave me the number and I rang the owner, with whom I left a message to kindly call me back. Two hours later I received a phone call from ANOTHER woman at the cleaners, who asked me to confirm whether or not I wanted my coat done. I told her that I had already told the other lady that I did not, and that I would be coming to pick it up as soon as I could. She was hands down the rudest woman I have ever spoken to in my life. She constantly cut me off, raised her voice to me several times, and finally hung up on me - saying "I have customers." As if I'm not only not a customer, but -clearly - not important whatsoever. I waited around an hour for a call back from the owner, after which I decided I would just her call again. She was very sweet and listened to what had happened, and after looking at my receipts and speaking to the women I had dealt with - she let me know that the alteration would be done for free. She explained to me which the other ladies did not, that alterations are paid for after they are completed. This didn't make much sense to me as I was able to take the items with me the first time, and some, but not all, of the alterations on my items had been done? Mixed with the extremely rude, condescending staff who possess an embarrassing lack of professionalism, alongside the price tag of simple procedures - there are FAR better cleaners to go to. Don't waste your time.

Don’t go here! I’m writing this as a late review for my blazer dry cleaned here, my fault for not inspecting the product at the store, 1 week later I check the blaze found buttons all broken and cracked, that same night I had a early flight to Dubai. Did not even bother calling to complain but will never return here.

I love this location of Kerrisdale Cleaners! Aside from the obvious convenience of proximity I can't say enough about their exemplary customer service. In particular from Irene. She is always so friendly and helpful. In a world where the art of customer service is dying she is such a breath of fresh air. I've been going here for years and the quality of work & service is consistently above and beyond. We are lucky to have them.
