Great experience for a not-so-fun event. The team was friendly, on-time and professional in every way. Even their paperwork was exceptional.
I would like to thank Dr. Elfassi and the entire team. They are very professional and courteous. It is not easy going through such a procedure and they made me feel very comfortable right from the point of prescreening to the end of the procedure. Dr. Elfassi was very clear and concise explaining my results. Once again thank you to the entire Kensington team.
Excellent experience once again! I've had screenings here several times. Dr. Gabe Kandel is an outstanding specialist, fully answering my questions, calling me by name, all with a sense of humour. The other doctors and staff are all terrific. They provided good instructions prior to the procedure. Kudos!
Everyone here is super friendly and makes sure you are comfortable. They even give you a heated gown. Wife had an appointment for 7:30 and was taken just after 8:00, so the wait was a little longer but that is to be expected. Nevertheless everyone was so friendly and helpful that the procedure was not as scary as I thought.
I did not have the best experience at this clinic but it wasn't completely terrible either. Right from the start there seemed to be some administrative glitches. when I called to make the appointment they told me they would be immediately emailing me the instructions etc. No email came. no email came the next day - no email came for 3 days at which point I thought I should follow up and no, it wasn't in my junk-filter. They then said they would send it again, right away. No email came. No email came for another day so I followed up again. Finally it came. This was the first time I learned of the 3-4 day pre-procedure diet restrictions- it would be helpful to know this timeline when booking the appointment which I was told "no changing once booked". They told me to come at least a half hour prior to my scheduled appointment which i did. Reception was lack-luster and seemed like something wasn't quite working right. Then I sat in the waiting room for almost the entire time I had come early. When I was called into the prep area my nurse left me standing in the hallway for a while while she was on the phone. I was put in a bed in a hallway and left there which was standard practice and not uncomfortable, but then I had the same nurse come and put the iv in my hand and she was pretty rough and looking over her shoulder the whole time talking about her lunch while she did it - hey careful lady that hurts! Then I was just left there for about 45 minutes. I could hear other patients getting processed and going in ahead of me. I could hear another Dr. not mine talking with people. He sounded very nice. I could hear another nurse - not mine - talking with patients - she was also very nice and she paid some attention to me which was nice. My nurse never materialized again after she jabbed me, not a big loss. Finally the doctor came. He was not as nice as the other doctor I heard talking with the people behind me. He asked if I had been late. No, I was 35 minutes early. Then he said that I had gotten lost in the cue but that I was next. Ok. then the anesthesia guy came. He was very nice. Then I had to sign a form when put in front of me seconds before the anesthesia with my glasses nowhere near me and everyone waiting. I have no idea what I signed. Given I had been doing nothing for over 45 minutes I would have thought there would have been some time to review this carefully prior to the seconds before the procedure in a much less awkward situation. I noted a clock on the wall and said oh wow - 45 minutes behind schedule and the same doctor said that the procedure before me had had complications - which I understand can happen, but is not what he told me in the hall when he said I had been lost in the cue. After the procedure they asked if I wanted my friend who was coming to fetch me to come in - I said no, but they brought her in anyway. Weird and awkward. The nurses who followed up after the procedure where nice and attentive. And finally the doctor came and said everything was fine and his office would be in touch and seemed, frankly, bored and annoyed by the whole thing. If it weren't for the nice nurse not my nurse, the nice one that paid some nice attention to me, the aftercare nurses and the kind and affable anesthesia-guy I wouldn't give even 3 stars, but they where all 4-5 star parts of an otherwise 2-star day. On the bright side, I'm alive and nothing horrible happened! UPDATE - TWO WEEKS LATER - After receiving a response comment from the clinic inviting me to contact them directly so they could address my concerns I did so. I have yet to receive any response to my direct contact whatsoever. So, while their comment on this post made me and likely other readers think they cared - apparently, they don't.
Veery helpfull doctor gi es good reference i,m pleased with service.
Great place ! Dr. Bookman was very professional and easy to talk with, the nurses were outstanding and make you feel very relaxed and comfortable. Thanks again!
My husband went for a colonoscopy and endoscopy at this clinic. He had a tumour but was still working. 5 days after this test, he nearly died. I called an ambulance. At the hospital, they found that his potassium levels were very low. I looked up that situation on the Internet and found that a colonoscopy on an elderly person can seriously affect their electrolytes due to the chemicals used in the prep which are akin to gasoline. That test marked the end of his career, his life, my life and the life of my kids. We coped with him until he died 2 months later. Nobody there including his doctor took into account that he had Addison's Disease and that is a contraindication to such a test. They also broke off one of his teeth in the process. The public do not realize that this test is a serious matter and the public should do their own research on it. Doctors can't be bothered. When I reported the medical journal article about this test to the nurse, she didn't care.
They say they'll call you for results they have that you need, between a super vague time frame, and never call! Now I need to go find another doctor and another x-ray because this was entirely useless.
Simply the best Doctors, Nurses and staff. Both Procedure went beautifully. Will recommend to all my family and friend with no hesitation.‍‍‍‍‍
