Eugene and Leona Sembrat are AWESOME!!! I have been going to them for years and the quality of care has been consistent. The office is always very professional yet welcoming and relaxed.

My family doctor first referred me to see Dr. Eugene Sembrat when I developed low back pain after long shifts working in a restaurant over numerous summers in the mid 2000's. 10+ years later, I was once again referred to go see him. My doctor continues to refer his patients to Eugene, and it's obvious why. Eugene is an extremely knowledgeable and effective chiropractor, and he has helped me overcome a couple of back pain issues and knee issues over the last year and a half that I've seen him. Even when I wasn't injured or in pain, I continued to see Eugene once a month on a maintenance basis, just to ensure that my back and spine were in good shape. I have also done VO2 max testing at his clinic. Eugene really knows his stuff in a variety of health/fitness related topics. What really tipped me over the edge to write this review though, was this: over the holidays, I unknowingly injured myself, and initially I just brushed it off as a minor pull in my lower back. One week, zero improvement and a visit to both a hospital and my doctor's office later, I was recommended to go to a physiotherapist. I went to a total of 3 sessions (not at Kensington Health Group), and after coming out of the last 2 sessions feeling worse than before and being made to think that I had herniated a disc, I decided to make an emergency appointment with Dr. Stephanie Shaw. One session with Stephanie, and I immediately felt better--she assessed me and knew exactly what was wrong with me and what needed to be done. The pain was still there, but I could feel a difference. Over the course of a week, I was slowly seeing improvements after suffering in a great deal of pain for 3 weeks (and I got confirmation that I, in fact, had NOT herniated a disc). I am still recovering--perhaps 85% there--but I am confident that with time, and appointments with Stephanie, I will get back to feeling 100%. The front desk staff--Dinah, Janice, and Tracy--are always friendly, attentive, and seem to know all the patients on a first-name basis. I don't think I have encountered more friendly staff at any other clinic. If you are in pain, but skeptical to see a chiropractor--don't be. For some odd reason, chiropractors have a bad reputation, and I just never understood why (probably because I have always been well taken care of). Go to Kensington Health Group, and the knowledgeable and caring chiropractors there will take care of you! I will continue to come to this health clinic for as long as the chiropractors are practicing here!
