Kelseys Original Roadhouse

We did Valentine's day here, great food, prices are higher than the previous years, about $130 for the two of us, (2 Steaks, 2 wines, shared cheesecake and calamari ). Ambiance is more family oriented, and pretty chain looking, with booths everywhere. For the price a few other places may be better, we tried Kelseys because we hadn't been there in a while and always enjoyed the food, which seemed better priced then. Otherwise still a great meal.

My son wanted a normal grilled cheese so I asked waitress if she could help out since it was not listed on kid’s menu and was told yes. It’s on our lunch menu she said. The grilled cheese that was brought to our table had Gouda and Provolone cheese. My son didn’t even eat it. Next surprise was the bill. She charged us $14.99 for this. Not sure where most of you eat but a kids grilled cheese combo is about $6 - 8. My daughter ordered taco kit. What comes out was a massive amount of ground beef and only 2 shells. What a waste. Most of ground beef went in the garbage. Fries were cold. My ribs were over cooked and dry. The burger was decent. Wings were good. Overall very disappointed with food and service.

Needs to keep up with the times. My wife had trouble finding something she wanted on the menu because everything was over 1000 calories. Why not put some lighter fare on the menu? Not every burger needs to be served with 2 patties and a mountain of fries. Nothing wrong with the food, it is tasty enough and the restaurant is clean and the service is fast an friendly. Just give us some lighter options. Oh and put some more interesting beers on tap. Where are the local breweries? Nothing but mass market schlep. We won't be back until they do that.

I feel like Kelseys has gone downhill since their new menu was released. The location is convenient and the service is friendly. I miss the after dinner candies and some of the older menu items.

Good place to eat with family or friends. The inside is nice, different from other places. The food could be better.
