Beautiful park to attend events or just walk around with your dog and family. Lots of open green space, ample parking and connected to beautiful Hot Sands Beach which has an iconic view of the bridge for pics. Busy in summer with tourists, understandably. Ice cream nearby, the lake to swim in... pack a picnic and spend the day.
Kelowna City Park is an absolute gem! It's perfectly situated right on the lake, offering beautiful sandy beaches, a great playground for kids, and lots of green space for picnics. The walk along the water is fantastic, and it’s always clean and well-maintained. A perfect place to spend a sunny Okanagan afternoon!
Kelowna is a beautiful city filled with natural charm — there are plenty of parks, beaches, and outdoor activities to enjoy. Whether you’re walking along the lake, relaxing on the beach, or exploring local trails, it’s definitely a place worth visiting.nnOne of the highlights nearby is Knox Mountain. There’s free parking, and you can hike up to the first viewpoint for stunning views of the lake and the city. There’s also a trail leading to Paul’s tomb, which adds a bit of adventure for those who enjoy hiking and exploring nature. Just note: Knox Mountain Park is open seasonally during the summer and usually closes by 8 p.m., so plan your trip accordingly.nnAnother beautiful spot is Bertram Creek Regional Park, located along the lake. It’s a peaceful place for walking, picnicking, or just enjoying the views. It’s clean, quiet, and surrounded by natural beauty — a perfect place to unwind.nnOverall, Kelowna and the surrounding area offer an amazing mix of lake views, mountain trails, and relaxing parks. Highly recommended for nature lovers and anyone looking for a calm and scenic getaway.
It's an amazing place if You bring lots of money to blow. The beaches are great and lake ave beach was dog friendly and probably one of the nicer ones for dog parents. Perfect for families and couples NOT wanting to leave our beautiful country. Lots of drug addicts and homelessness but that comes with any city these days because of our weak Liberal government
The park has everything you would want in an urban park and with the addition of the new dog park it is even better. About 200 meters of the waterfront is being refurbished and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us.
