I like to read reviews about campgrounds before visiting when they are available. We travel all over the country for work, so have been to hundreds one bad review is not good for any business, but I am more influenced by the response to the review by owners it management. I am not impressed by the comment about "no loss" if those campers never returned. It should be every businesses primary goal to have their patrons return. It was handled by all around I think, but the Management's response is enough to make me go elsewhere.

This is a reply to certain people that think kelloggs is not good at all. There are rules were ever you. go . This campground is very nice place to camp its quiet and the owners are very pleasant. But when you park in a no parking area and are asked 3 times to move and don't what do you think when they come back. Also when people show up with their boat without notifying the owners ahead of time its on the contract to call ahead when you are coming. Saying you will never come back again its no loss . The rules pertain to every one. Our residents need to read their their contracts. The residents are responsible to let their visitors know the rules

After 34 years of camping in Shawano and calling Shawano Lake my 2nd home, I have never had a worse experience at Kellogg’s Campsite as I did this 4th of July weekend. The owners of this campground, Roger and Cheryl, are quite possibly the worst business owners I have ever encountered. Their lack of professionalism, inappropriate behavior, and mess of a campground are reasons I will never return to this campground. The owners make up rules depending on if they like you or not. The campground is not kept up. The condition of the owner’s camper shows poor hygiene. The owners drive around in their golf cart looking for things to yell at the campers about as they thrive on confrontation. My husband and I were packing up and getting ready to leave for the weekend and my husband pulled the boat out of the water and parked the truck and the boat near the camper so that we could say goodbye to our family and pack up our 2 puppies and 7-month-old daughter. Roger approached me screaming at the top of his lungs that my husband parked his truck where he did. Both owners continued to scream at me uncontrollably while I was carrying my 7-month-old daughter, this was the first encounter I had with them all weekend. My 5-year-old niece was with me as well and she asked me why Roger was acting that way and saying those bad words. How do you explain to a 5-year-old that someone is not in a stable mind? I want to add that throughout the weekend there were other campers that parked in the location we were parked in, including our family members and there were not any issues for them. I have never seen someone get so upset, screaming profanities, and losing complete control because of a parking location he did not approve of. It is expected as a business owner to maintain poise, provide excellent customer service, and treat people with respect. There are no behavior standards in place with these owners or at this establishment. The holiday weekend is supposed to be a fun weekend making memories with family, unfortunately, this holiday weekend I will remember the horrible way we were treated by the owners of this campground. I encourage everyone considering Kellogg’s campsite as a vacation location to reconsider and stay at Cecil campground or the County Park, you’ll be happy you did.
