Yesterday, I had an appointment at 4:10 pm. I was 5 minutes late as I received a very important call from my immigration consultant. As I was on call I didn't see or heard any call. My mistake I got them back at 4:17 pm because it took time to get back to the reception. And, in 5 min they put no show and cancelled my appointment. Also, they were demanding 50 dollars as they cancelled the appointment. I can not book another appointment until I pay 50 dollars. I understand my mistake still, but it does not make sense to me. I think doctors should be a little bit more considerate. I have to go to the emergency as I cannot pay 50 dollars right now.
Made an phone appointment with Dr. Jordan Sugie. The entire consultation had no logic to me. I told him about my symptoms, without asking further medical questions to define what disease, instead he just went straight asking which pharmacy I would like to send to, and then asked me WHAT DO I DO FOR A LIVING ??? And I wonder if that is even relevant to my symptoms?! I feel extremely personally offended. Also, No tests to be done so I’m not sure why I’m seeing the doctor here. He was an hour late for the appointment, and he rushed to hang up. And funnier, today I was at the pharmacy and they told me no medicine that was assigned by the clinic I went to. He is rude, unprofessional, and very passive aggressive. I understand that you don’t care cause it’s not your body, but why are you still working at this clinic ?
I'm not sure the doctors are real doctors in this clinic. But I'm filing a formal complaint of discrimination to the college. I go there for a checkup, and the unkempt boy looking , with unprofessional manners and poor interaction skills, very minimum desire to listen and understand the patient, arrogant sort of narcissistic dude shows up. I'm wondering why these people still take our tax dollars? They forget they are public servants we pay, then they get paid. What they do is not free, they act as if they are somewhere in Asia/third world country, not in Canada. It's such a disappointment to see the Canadian life style and culture shifting to dirty outsider's mostly east asian culture. No disrespect to anyone but these people who think they deserve our tax dollars for doing the bare minimum or not doing it at all. I am disgusted at the racism, and discriminatory approach, but want still to make that Canadian dollars. As an immigrant and health care professional myself, I'm disgusted at the level of greed and lack of professional standard of Canadian code of ethics of medicine.
Chinese woman doctor there gave me my worse experience with a clinic. I waited more than 1.5hr and the clinic wasn't even busy. I was asking for a referal for my specialist and she got into a shouting match with me saying she refuse to give me a referal and that she was "too busy" and I have to make an appointment for next time which makes no sense at all. My appointment was only 2 mins and the fact that she is making me come back again for a referal leaves me to believe she is trying to get money for each appointment she gets which I find really shady. Stay away from this doctor and clinic.
if you are visitor, and need a antigen test or pcr test urgently for your travels - do NOT make appointments or deposits with them. They will try to change your appointment last minute, and if you cannot comply, they take your deposit and try to ask for more penalty because of it. My case is that I wasnt able to come with my family of 7 at their requested changed time of 12:30, which originally was scheduled for 3pm. It is our last day in Vancouver and our schedule was packed with car returns, etc, and wouldnt be able to come earlier as per their request. They called in the early morning the same day to try to change the appointment because they accepted few more patients at 3pm and needed to move our time up to 12:30 or at least few members of our family. We explained we wouldnt have car because of the car return, which they initially said was fine, and our deposit would be return to us. We had to made changes to our plans, call other clinic to ask for those tests in order to fly the next day. Several calls follow from them and their "manager" saying they wont pay out deposit and we would owe them $50 per head for cancelling the appointment. Absolutely ridiculous. How clinics get away with treating visitors this way is puzzling. If I could zero star them, I would.
My dad made an appointment with a doctor here for the first time today because this clinic is close to his home. My dad respectively provided previous check up history because he believes that the medical history is essential for the doctor to make decision. After the doctor heard the history, she started questioning that we must had seen multiple doctors for the same reason so we got 3 exams blood/urine, ultrasound and Colonoscopy, indicating that we were abusing the medical system. After we told him that the three exams were for different reasons and we only had seen one doctor a couple of times before, the only reason we are looking for a new clinic is that the previous one was too far. She said we were lying and there was no way a doctor would refer that many 3 exams. This obviously showed that she had no necessary medical knowledge to know what each exam is for, so she assumed that its all for one reason, without even seeing the exam results. A 64 year old person with heart issues history and blood in stool and urine problems did 3 exams in the past three years is apparently too much for her. It also shows that she has no sympathy, patience, or integrity to talk to a patient like that, accusing another person like that and ended the phone without providing any medical suggestion or follow up.
Awful customer service. I had an appointment scheduled with Dr Amid which I asked to reschedule and the receptionist confirmed so and said she would book me in for a later date. I then got 3 missed calls from the clinic and emails confirming the doctor would call me.. on the original date I had cancelled. The worst customer service ever. They don’t pick up and when it goes to voice mail it says the mail box is full. Ridiculous!
Dr. Sima Amid is our family doctor, she is knowledgeable and help you to get heal. I trust her diagnosis and I like her personality. The staffs in the clinic are nice and polite they answer the emails quickly and you can get online appointments easily.but no one answer the phones. I didn’t have any problem here. I only suggest them not to work with Downtown Radiology and not to refer patients to them . I went there twice and both I had very bad experience
I went there and waited for 3hours because their services were so slow. I asked for a copy of the x-ray and they said that i had to pay $45 for the cd or have an unused usb so I ran outside and bought one, but when i came back, they still asked us to pay $45 for the copy in the usb we bought. They didn’t say anything about having to pay even with our own usb. There were so many people that came after us that got to go first and in front of us. This place is so unprofessional and people are very rude and disrespectful.
Neither Reception nor the doctors have manners at this clinic: I just expressed a grievance to the front desk about the difficulty of receiving phone calls from unknown numbers I missed my appointment and they want to charge $50 for the missed call. I was ready to pay but instead of a swift apology, reception railed me about their policy. Nope. Not how you respond to patients. I even asked for her managers contact info and she wouldn’t give it to me. On another occasion: Dr. Rose Wong told me that breast lumps happen all the time and it’s no big deal and that Angelina Jolie got her two breasts removed hinting that I should too??. When I said I don’t care about Angelina Jolie, she said, “oh young people these days…”. I had switched doctors — but not good enough to keep me coming back.
