We came here for the a-la-carte menu option which was a better value than the all-you-can-eat option. The sushi and appetizers is quite good here. We ordered a boat tray, handrolls and soft shell crab which was plenty to feed two people.
I love this Japanese restaurant I have been here 2 times and both times I go for all you can eat once for lunch and once for dinner The dinner menu has more options and is a little more expensive than the lunch menu But it's really worth it You should try this restaurant for sure Can't regret And you are gonna fall in love with this place
We had the all-you-can eat menu which had a variety of options: Appetizers, main, sushi rolls, special rolls, sashimi, hand rolls, sushi pizza, noodles, udon, soups, salads, deserts, and some Asian dishes as well. We mostly ordered sushi and sashimi which was high quality and delicious. Not overloaded with rice like some other places. Miso soup and tempuras were also great. Lots of vegetarian option, too. Service was super prompt and respectful. Recommend and would go back. They have some birthday discounts as well, check their website.
Went for all you can eat Japanese food to celebrate a friend's birthday. His birthday was late last month, though, and the restaurant only honoured someone on the birthday month, so that was disappointing. However, we had a pleasant time nonetheless. I've eaten in a few similar places in the city, and Kayamono offerings stand tall above the rest. The sashimi selections include hamachi which was tasty!, squid, red tuna, and octopus, all on top of the regular sashimi offerings from other restaurants. Grilled squid ikayaki was a favorite item as well, as it is uncommon to be offered elsewhere. I will also give props to the dessert options. The fried milk was great, but my favourite items would be the mango pudding and the yoghurt. We tried the Kayamono rolls, and were surprised to find that they incorporate banana in them, hence it was a bit of a stretch, but your preference may vary. The torched sushi were okay, but they had the same dressing regardless of the type of fish they come with, so I'm not used to this approach. The grilled short ribs were a pass for me, as I found my batch to be dry and lacking in flavour. Service was a bit spotty, as we encountered some rude servers during our time. But the lady in charge of our table I wish I had asked for her name was gracious. We were there for almost three hours, and yet she kept our water filled and took our empty plates readily. Despite this fact, I applaud the decision to offer more items than other competitors in the already-packed ayce market, and definitely consider this fact to be a deciding factor on my choice of restaurant when I'm craving for all-you-can-eat Japanese food.
We've been going to this place back when it was Makimono, now Kayamono. Prices are much steep now specially for dinner but to food still taste as good as before. My only gripe is that appetizers mostly come after the main course Lots of parking. Parking: Ample parking
Recently came here for all you can eat dinner on weekend. Called for reservation booking. The foods were good quality, fresh. The sushi was not filled with a lot of rice like other places. I liked how the Miso soup tase and hot enough, was not too salted and hot enough; many other places have Miso soup cooled and salted. Would recommend all sashimi, shrimp tempuras, salmon takoyaki, squid takoyaki, shrimp mango sauce, avocado salad, Miso soup. Pay cash will be free of tea and pop drinks. Good service and nice environment. Good came out quickly.
Food was very fast and very tasty , they had many more options then most all you can eat and the atmosphere is amazing
This was my first time to Kayamono. We went to celebrate a birthday. We had a reservation for the upstairs area where you can have a large group. The rooms are kind of separated, which is nice. You get to mingle and enjoy the company of the group you're with. The food was good, and the service was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely would go back to have dinner.
We were greeted by friendly staff. Ambience was great, surroundings and aesthetics were pretty neat. Service was fast, we did not have to wait for our orders that long. Food is amazing! My wife and I loved it!
Went to this place for dinner with family. The atmosphere is good and all but the food is nothing out of the ordinary. Most of the all you can eat Japanese restaurant all offer pretty much the same food. So if you are looking for something unique, you at have to search somewhere else. As for pricing.. With the food they provide, I will say they are a little bit on the high side.
