Hi ladies.... just a heads up I went to go in for a haircut and there were some issues with it. I called back as soon as I could to let them know, and let me tell you they become RUDE when you want to get it fixed... if your stylist is off, you have to wait until the stylist comes back. PERIOD. Meaning if you even wanted to pay them to fix a few layers...they won’t take you in. So...overall. They are all nice at the beginning and want NOTHING to do with you when you want a few adjustments (bangs, layers). Also... Stacey the receptionist treats you like a number. Not a person.

I went to see Bianca at the new Mahogany location - which is beautifully set up! Bianca gave me curtain bangs and a trim, and I am loving the change! Bianca always gives me an honest answer, and is so well informed with current trends. What I love most is she knows how to handle my thick, curly/wavy/straight conglomerate type hair!

Jen L you are a SUPERSTAR!! Karma you are extremely lucky to have this talented lady working for you... I have moved from Australia recently and have coloured my hair blonde for years and Jen is by far the best hairdresser I’ve ever had (huge call). Thank you Jen for always listening to what I want and doing my hair so beautifully. 🙏🏻

I absolutely love this place. The staff are always attentive making sure you have a beverage and you are comfortable. I never have to wait long for my hair stylist and always come out looking fabulous! Our whole family attends the salon now! Ask for jenelle r. She's our go to gal!

I visited Karma salon yesterday to get highlights (balayage) done. I had previously inquired with a stylist the price and was told $150-180 which I was ok with. After my session was completed I was shocked to hear my total was $225!! And that did NOT include a haircut. When I got my receipt I saw I was charged $170 for the highlights (ok) and $45 for a “shampoo style”. I am shocked and extremely disappointed. Of course you have to shampoo my hair to get the colour out! How is this an extra charge?! And it’s -28 in Calgary, in what world would hair not be blow dried?! I have literally never been charged to have my hair washed or dried after a colour service, and I have previously gone to high end and expensive salons. The customer service and environment at Karma was very good but I simply cannot return, nor recommend this salon to anyone when they have such an outrageous charge for a shampoo and blow dry, which should absolutely be part of a service when you are paying $170 for highlights. I am also extremely disappointed that I was never made aware or quoted this blow dry charge before booking as I would certainly have gone elsewhere. If this is their policy when your service doesn’t include a haircut then again, I shoukd have been told at the appt when the stylist and I discussed that my cut was still good and didn’t require a cut. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed by this and will not be coming back.
