The baseball is fun. The price was right. The food was good ballpark food, but the stadium is not that great. Getting to your car afterwards is a nightmare. You're herded like cattle. You have to stop to let cars go by, which I understand, but there needs to be a better way, we were separated from half our family.

Went to my first game in over 20 years with my 7 year old son recently, who's just now really getting into baseball, and took in a beautiful summer night game and had a magical time. The fireworks show at the end of the game was surprisingly outstanding, and was an exclamation point on a perfect evening. We're hooked, and have already bought tickets for four more games, and partial season tickets next year may be in play, too!
The Cougars are a very entertaining team, everything is reasonably priced, the stadium has a real "Sandlot" feel to it (in the most charming way imaginable), and it's a wonderful family-friendly environment. You won't find a better value anywhere else. Just go see for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Go Cougars!!

So last year my family had a terrible experience at the Cougars stadium and while awful I was impressed with the actual stadium staff for their kindness and compassion. So much so that I posted the below on the Cougars Facebook page. It was however taken down by whomever runs the page and I never got a response from the stadium. I had really hoped that they would express condolences for the terrible experience and maybe even offer my mother tickets for another game. Nothing came. I was so disappointed. I wanted to show my mother who was so embarrassed that people cared and hopefully get her back out for another ball game while she still can. Shame on the Cougars stadium for not being more sympathetic.
"Tonight myself, my boyfriend, my sister, her two kids, my mom and dad went to the Cougars game. This was a big deal for us because my mom has Parkinsons and does not go out often because getting around is difficult for her. The gmae had a rain delay during which we had to climb the stairs from the seating area to seek shelter. My mom was having a difficult time standing/walking after the climb so I pulled a chair out from behind an Andersen Windows + Doors table for her to sit on. The gentleman named Mark who worked the booth returned from wherever he was and made my handicapped mom get out of his chair. I explained the situation and he said it was not his problem so my mother who does not like to make a scene got up and we had to help hold her up. The crowd around us was very supportive and berated Mark for his treatment and several people went to get stadium employees. After being yelled at by several people Mark finally gave the chair back to my mom.
My mom started to cry because she was so shaken up and humiliated by the treatment she received. What did make it a bit better was the wonderful stadium staff who came and checked on my mother and the medical crew even stopped by to make sure she was comfortable and spoke to Mark themselves and told him that she could sit wherever she needed for as long as she wanted.
We left shortly after because my mom's tremors get worse with stress and she was so embarrassed and uncomfortable that she could not continue to stay at the game. She gets very few opportunities for family outings and while the staff at the stadium was fantastic Mark was so cruel in his treatment that the vening was ruined.
Despite the terrible treatment I do want to thank the stadium staff for being wonderful people and doing whatever they could to ensure that my mother was as comfortable as she could be."

Sammie and I had a great time. The in between innings "shows" were adorable.
