They claim the best BBQ you will have, which is pretty much true statement. They are really good. Cow tongue ran out today and replaced with NY steak with extra $10. Service is somewhat slow maybe due to understaff or people usually take longer to order and to pay? I am not sure, but once you indicate you need assistance, they are fast and polite. They use mostly Mandarin and Cantonese, English is not actually fluent with everyone, but still manageable. When you are in Richmond, it is your problem if you don’t speak the unofficial language here. Price is not cheap, but quality and presentation is good. Service is good, close a late at night and in a safe place. Recommended.
Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Price: 3/5 it more on the pricier end of dining Service quality excellent and wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very calm and relaxing also felt nice that they started diming down the lights not sure if that was everyday thing. The food was exceptionally good and the amount given was generous. Sadly I didn't get a chance to try their sashimi but from their quality of their other food. You can expect certain quality. Pricier than your average Japanese restaurant but the food quality was there. Until next time.
Quality of food was excellent. Sashimi is very fresh, and thick cut. The wagu Don is creamy and tasty. Oyster shots a must. Servers very attentive and helpful with menu choices. Everyone was friendly. I would highly recommend and definitely return.
The A5 japanese wagyu was good... You can see that there was a lot of oil and fat in some pieces. I wish they either soaked up a bit of the oil after cooking, or offered those papers to soak it a bit. The udon was good quality. Ice cream was complimentary at the end of dinner, which was nice. Gave 2 stars for service because the servers were really inefficient and it took a long time to get their attention. They also accidentally charged us wrong, but thankfully rectified the situation once we realized. Good thing we checked our bill. Whole bill came to $290 ish for the 3 of us. Overall, worth trying once, but I don't think I will come again.
Very fresh and high quality food here at a premium. You do get what you pay for. Highlights included: Complimentary pickled cabbage and sweet fried taro chips. Tasty little snacks to get your palate going while you wait for your food. Oyster shots: Comes in a set of 3 per order. There is a quail yolk, uni, Ikura, a vinegar sauce, lemon wedge, and the Oyster. It was rich in flavor, refreshing, and fun to eat. Toro sashimi: creamy, clean, and even had gold leaf garnish. How cool is that? Omakase Sashimi: sweet, fresh, clean fish. No fishiness or sliminess at all. High quality fish and wakami. No complaints. Fish Hot Pot: The veggie plate was cut nicely with the starred mushroom caps like you see in Japanese anime cartoons. Of note, the fish broth made from boiled fish bones tasted amazing. It was creamy, rich, fresh, not fishy, and not too salty. Very high quality and did not taste like MSG. They even refill it for you in the pot when it gets low. I normally don't even drink hot pot soup, but I did here because it was soooo goood. Also, their chili green onion fish sauce that you can dip your boiled fish and veggies in was exquisite and reminiscent of Chinese steamed fish flavours. Their satay sauce was also better than others I've had because it had a sweetness to it while being savory. Last, they gave a complimentary scoop of ice cream for dessert with the cutest spoon. The black sesame ice cream was fantastic.
We ordered the Chinese New Year combo for four with extra lobster and king crab sashimi combo on the side. The sashimis are yummy and the other food from the combo are delicious!!! I love their hand made dessert the most lol. Plus the amount of food is more than enough for four people. We packed quite a bit to go. Will definitely go there again to try their regular menu.
Good food and delightful presentation. Quality and customer service is great as well but a little pricey for me. I loved the fried baby octopus, fried pork belly and the eggplant dish. But again I don't wanna pay 8 dollars for eggplant and 13 dollars for a small abalone.
We had made a reservation two weeks prior since we were a large group but when we arrived at 8pm they said they did not have a reservation under our name. The restaurant was very empty for a Saturday night so we were still able to be seated. The portions are very small for $18-22 plates of food. The most not worth it item was the short ribs, it was $22 for 1.5 pieces of short rib. There was nothing special about it, we could’ve bought 8 pieces + for that price at the supermarket. I only have a picture of the okra but you can see in the background what that one plate looked like. The okra was supposed to be pork belly wrapped but it was so thin that we could see through it. There were some notable items like the cheese covered skewers and crispy pork skin as well the ambiance was nice. However, ultimately at that price point , it was not worth it. If I wanted skewers I would rather go to Happy Tree or Lulu Bbq.
The service was decent! Food was tasty The beef is tender and I love it soooo much!!! The environment is clean and nice. Highly recommend!! Will definitely come here again!
Sushi are fresh and taste amazing. Slightly on the pricey side but we’ll worth the money. You get what you pay for.
