Kaffeeklatsch

Just went to Kaffeeklatsch for the first time this morning! Great place to get a coffee and German pastry before work. The cinnamon roll was excellent. I'm for sure going back. I do think they need some better signage or something flashy in the window it's easy to miss this place.

Always a fan of a good bakery cafe. And even more so when it's German! Kaffeeklatsch has been on my list for quite some time now. So glad we could make a quick stop here! The smell of fresh bread when you walk through the door is priceless. I mainly went here to try their famous biscuits. Especially the jam ones, which turned out to be amazing. But we also ended up trying their Bienenstich A soft yeasty cake with almond crust top and sweet custard filling, Blechkuchen Buttery Sheet Cake with raspberry topping and Apfeltasche Apple Turnover. You just can't stop yourself from ordering them all! Loved that they weren't too sweet. Seemed perfectly baked and tasted yum! The raspberry one was a bit sour to my taste, but loved everything else! We got coffee just to go with it and I'm so glad we did!!! One of the best capuccinos I've had so far. Strong and extremely flavorful! If you're someone who loves coffee and some baked goodness, this is your place!

Yummy house-made baked goods, excellent customer service. Even a small area for kids with a kid-sized table & chairs, books and a few toys, wisely separated from the rest of the cafe so kids aren’t disruptive to grown ups enjoying their goodies and coffee. My 3 year old accidentally spilled his entire steamer on the floor, the staff was so kind to him as they helped us clean it up, they even made it fun so he wouldn’t feel bad. Then they brought him a brand new steamer with a smile. I’m so happy to have this lovely bakery and coffee shop in our neighborhood!

The coffee is amazing and super flavorful. The staff is very sweet and doesn't judge if you can't pronounce the names. The food is delicious and all handmade. My recommendation is a vanilla late and the lake city cookie.

Worthy to stop by when you’re around the green lake area. Nice hand made smooth & rich chocolate worthy of the wait. Very welcoming staff. Another plus for providing dog treats - very loving and considerate!

Sad this is in the only coffee spot in Lake City. I have tried a handful of times, really wanting to love it, but the cold brew and lattes I've gotten just aren't it, especially for the price. The cold brew tastes fermented. Food is very good, I just want good coffee.

Walked in yesterday, the coldest day in forever, and was warmly greeted. Always a wonderful, traditional selection of baked goods and good coffee. Thank you for being there, thanks for staying and surviving the pandemic. A gem in the Lake City district.

Maybe it’s better in the morning- afternoon was underwhelming! They were out of mustard for the pretzels, the banana cake tasted more like sweet but kind of stale cornbread. The strawberry rhubarb cobbler was tasty, but pricy.

Really good Körnerbrot!!! I’m from Germany and have been in Seattle for almost 4 months now, i keep coming back to Kaffeeklatsch for my bread fix. It’s quite expensive which is to be expected for a german bakery, especially in an expensive city like Seattle. Some of the staff are a bit unfriendly, other than that i love it there!
