Great place to canoe for a short day trip when you don't have time head north for a few days. There is lots of variety in bird wildlife, and things to see as you make your way to the other end towards the marsh. If the lake is calm, you can venture out under the highway and paddle around the lake as well. Lots of parking and it seems secure enough an area. Have been here a few times and always enjoyed the afternoon on the water.

Quiet, peaceful...perfect for canoeing. Great place for casual bird watching with a large population of Great Blue Herons. Picturesque railway bridge with original old stone work left intact. Watercraft rentals available. Truly enjoyed it!
