This was our first time at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful and short staffed. The place was clean and tidy, well lit even the washrooms. It was a little bit of a wait but really worth it. The food was delicious and hot.
Had been looking forward to my first Jolibee visit after hearing much hype about the chicken. Unfortunately, there was no chicken prepared and would be a 20-25 minute wait. Instead ordered the chicken sandwich combo. The chicken was good but sadly the flavour was masked by the bun and mayonnaise so I went away without having actually tried the fried chicken. Perhaps on the next visit. The fries were rather anemic and limp from being placed in a plastic bag instead of paper. Not ready to give up on Jolibee, so next time I will try the fried chicken and a different side.
almost like an average fried chicken fast food place but with more Filipino cuisine added into it. Fried chicken was great but not mind blowing. Tasted average with a different recipe.
Tried the fried chicken at Jollibee and it was actually quiet delicious. Very crispy and tender. Also got the signature pineapple juice and it was really delicious. Great staff and excellent customer services while having reasonable portions with reasonable prices.
Love the chicken sandwiches and pieces. Fries not a big fan. I would highly recommend this location. Better than other restaurants.
The drive thru service was pretty fast. The good taste pretty good, but the spicy chicken was a bit too much for me. The gravy was a bit watery too. Overall it was a good experience though.
Wanted to give them a chance despite the poor reviews, because for years I've been hearing good things about Jollibee and now there's finally a location in my area. Ordered a chicken sandwich combo and a cheesy yumburger on its own I ordered in the dining room — 15 mins of waiting later, constantly seeing drive-thru orders being bagged and sent out, I went to go check the status of my order. The lady at the counter appeared to be the manager, she checked my receipt and said it wouldn't be long they were just waiting on fries. She walked away before I could point out that there was a giant pile of fries under the heat lamp . I stood there watching my 2 sandwiches sitting on the counter getting cold, while seemingly every employee not tasked with drive-thru duty just milled about —or in the case of another customer in the dining room at the time, processed a refund once they informed him it would be 20 more minutes for his fried chicken to be ready. Finally someone noticed my order and asked the kitchen crew whether there were more fries coming... the lady in the kitchen simply pointed down at the pile under the heat lamp as if somehow every front of house employee was unable to see them. Once I finally received my order, my sandwiches were lukewarm and the fries that held up the entire thing were completely bland, like Burger King fries that someone had forgot to season. The chicken sandwich was decent, but literally only comes with mayo on it unless you upgrade to the deluxe sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes for another $1. For the price I would say it's not nearly as good as Mary Browns, or Popeyes. The yumburger was as disappointing as the fries. I can't believe it cost $5.49, the patty was ridiculously small, dwarfed by the larger bun. Again, it only comes with sauce and cheese. The patty tasted pretty forgettable. I was really looking forward to trying Jollibee and unfortunately I can't picture myself trying it again any time soon.
I’ve been a fan of Jollibee and always frequent the Scarborough location although I’m a resident of Pickering. Therefore, a store in Ajax was like a dream come true as I’m a Jollibee fan. However I was in for a rude awakening. I ordered the spicy 6 pc chicken and a coke. First of all, they gave me 4 leg pieces and 2 breast/thigh pieces for which I went back and changed to 3 leg and 3 thigh/breast. I was like, that isn’t an issue. I was very impressed with the roomy well-lit interior and started to eat. 1. Although I asked for spicy, there was minimal amount of “spicy powder” that usually is seen abundantly in the other location, therefore affecting the taste of the outside. 2. Amongst fast-food fried chicken outlets, Jollibee used to be one place where I can comfortably eat until I reach the bone as they are well cooked. But here, the chicken was not well-cooked and had that mushy slimy undercooked inside which almost made me puke. 3. I thought perhaps the gravy would help, as that’s something I always loved. However the gravy here was watered down and the taste was affected. All in all, I regret coming here and wasting my money. I was super excited but guess I’ll just drive all the way to the Scarborough location where they know what they’re doing. I really hope these folks do something or their already low rating would simply go down further. For those of you who haven’t ever had Jollibee, do give it a shot at the Scarborough location as they have been consistently providing quality food. Hope the Ajax location outlet catches up soon.
Not worth the hype. The line up was huge to begin with and the food was not anything amazing. The chicken was not cooked on the inside and the menu should include the fact that the spaghetti includes meat in it. Also quite pricey. Would rather go to Popeyes or another fried chicken place.
Was itching to try this place and wanted to go there so badly after watching a YouTube video about eating there. Placed an order for a three piece chicken and requested spaghetti as my side only to be told that was not possible. No attempt to create a work around or help me understand why it was not possible. Not even the option to pay an up charge to make it possible. Since I could not have the spaghetti I chose fries instead. Once I got my order everything was piping hot and smelled great. The fries were perfect and delicious. The chicken was a tad greasy but the fat content stuff that should have been trimmed away was just gross. I love fried chicken but I don’t like clumps of chicken fat. Needless to say I did not enjoy the chicken. Please trim your chicken better. The peach mango turnover pie was really good, I think I burned my mouth devouring it lol.The pineapple drink that came with my order was out of this world good. It was probably the best thing about the meal and I had to have a second glass. My wife even wanted a glass to take home. If I ever do go back it will probably be for the pineapple drink I love it!
