First time trying John Vince Foods after repeatedly seeing advertisements on a local Italian channel.nnThere is a dizzying selection of dried foods such as cookies, candies, chocolates, and baking needs such as flours, dried fruits, and spices. You need some time to familiarize yourself with all that is offered.nnWe purchased a wide range of products including roasted nuts, dried herbs for various teas, bean flour, canned/jarred tomatoes, and baking chocolate. Their biscotti sold in bulk are available in several flavours and were very good and cheaper than nearly anywhere else you can buy them. Especially when on sale, most of their products are competitively priced. John Vince Foods carries a very limited selection of fresh produce and frozen products.nnWe were pleasantly surprised with the consistent freshness across all of the items we purchased, as often in stores that sell in bulk the freshness can be hit-and-miss. The place appeared to be clean and ordered.nnHighly recommend a visit to John Vince Foods if you are looking for a variety of dried goods in bulk and especially to those who love to try all kinds of different chocolates and sweets.
nI had an amazing recent experience shopping at John Vince Foods in Downsview! Family run business- 40+ years in operation nnThe store is incredibly well-organized, making it easy to find everything I needed, even with the wide range of products available. They offer a fantastic variety of bulk foods, including snacks, nuts, dried fruits, baking essentials, grains, spices, and healthier options like gluten-free and organic choices.nnI was impressed by the freshness and quality of the products — everything looked amazing! The prices are very reasonable, especially for the sheer selection and quality you’re getting.nnWhat sets this store apart is not only the wide selection but also the cleanliness and overall ambiance. Shopping here feels like a real treat. The bulk bins are clean and well-maintained, and it’s clear the staff takes pride in keeping everything in order. Speaking of the staff, they were super friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with any questions I had. It’s always nice to shop in a place where customer service is a priority, and you feel valued as a customer.nnWhether you’re looking for everyday pantry staples or specialty items, John Vince Foods has it all. I found a few unique items I hadn’t seen elsewhere, which was a pleasant surprise! I’ll definitely be returning for all my bulk food needs, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great products at great prices. This store is truly a gem in the neighbourhood!
I phoned in an order Sept 22. At 1:27pm. I was told to pick it up at the store on Steeprock. I went Thursday to get my order. My order never went through, no one had any paperwork. Couldn't go into to comercial area as its now locked to the public. I was told that I have to call in again to make another order and can't get it for 48 hours. I came from north of Richmond Hill and no one thought the distance was a issue. I call in and the lady told me after I said someone messed up. The girl said it was my responsibility to make sure the order was right. I told her that how can I be responsible as you guys should of put the order in correctly. She said there are two girls right now and they have no idea. I need 1 box of Jelly beans for my business and was told to go to the warehouse beside The Brick. I left a phone message with Arnolv the store manager to tell him of the situation Thursday afternoon, not sure what happened but he never called me back. Waisted my breath. Customer service is lacking now that Johnvince is too big and don't care how there staff talks to their customers. I spent 3 hours of my time their through this whole situation which should of been 20 minutes, in and out.
So, I purchased in Leduc 300g package of Dry Roasted Salted In-Shell California Pistachios from a local retailer in Leduc, abnThey were not great and many shells were open and no Pistachios inside.nVery disappointed, I won't purchase this brand in the future.
Terrible experience!nYesterday we bought “Пташине Молоко” chocolate candies from Johnvince Foods — when I opened one, it was covered in mold and had a horrible moldy smell! Completely disgusting. I threw them straight into the garbage because I was afraid to get food poisoning. This is unacceptable for a food store.
