John Colter's Ranch House

Service was slow and kind of awkward, I was in a group of 13 so I understand it takes awhile to make the food but it probably took ~5 minutes for a server to greet our table. The food was good I had the cage free eggs with ham and home fries 2 mornings in a row. The pasta carbonara was good too. I was here 2 days and they were always running out of things: pizza dough, ginger beer and wheat bread. Service at the bar was much better than in the rest of the restaurant, the bartender Chad was fantastic. I ordered chocolate lava cake, they ran out and he gave me free ice cream. Reasonable selection of beers and all the normal cocktails.

Friendly and helpful staff. No kids' menu was posted, but we asked and there were several options. Items like the huckleberry margarita were fun local touches. I loved the potato leek soup; with salad bar, it was a reasonably priced meal.

Food of excellent quality, from mundane chilli to fancier fare like rainbow trout and linguini with pork belly, everything made with care and precision, which is surprising to see in this part of camping country. I'd say the chef would do great in any popular eatery at a metropolis. Good thing they get him here! Wildlife, mountains, and tasty food - who doesn't want that!

Decent meals with friendly and fun bartenders. After coming from Yellowstone, I was impressed with the food here. Over a couple of visits, we enjoyed the pasta primavera, chile, trout and fried pickles. The beer and special cocktails we're good too.
