We ate here twice on a recent visit. Good family food with spectacular views overlooking lake and mountains. Nachos were crazily large (feeds 4 as a meal), Bison burger good, fish tacos kind of bland. Huckleberry creme brulee was too good to share. Good place for a meal especially in the off-meal times, as they are open the whole day and you won't have to wait for a table. Breakfast menu looked good but we missed that. Friendly staff.

5 stars for service, minus two for mostly uninspired, mediocre fare. Baby back ribs pretty dry; taco chicken (at least the ones on the nachos) pretty bland. Only thing that I liked were the fish tacos - those were pretty good, actually. Not terrible value, either.

Best breakfast we had while touring the Grand Tetons... very attentive waitstaff. The morning glory muffins were wonderful.

Looked like rain moving in spoiling the planned dinner picnic. Got to the Trapper Grill at 5:30 with about 4 other families avoiding the rain, we were two couples. Place was not full but close with a half dozen on the patio. Storm moved in, high winds, raining sideways and small hail, the patio crowd ran for their lives (with plates in hand). Wait staff hustled them in, got them new seating while securing the unbrellas that were about to fly threw the windows. Staff was calm and cool like that sort of thin happens everyday. Let me say that all the staff were younger 20's and the performance before we were seated was worth a round of applause. Needless to say by this time they ran out of tables for 4 so we seated in the Trapper Bar with same menu. Excellent service even with the surge of customers which by this time was it was packed from storm refugees. Started with the Nachoes which could have been the meal by themselves. Between us we had Baby Back Ribs, Burgers and Quesadillas. All I can say is you better come hungry, huge portions, great sides of fries and onion rings. For the adults the cocktails were good and service spot on. Our bill for a round of drinks and all the above food was $72, not bad for a resort hotel restaurant. The staff was friendly and service was great, made it all worth while and I was the hero for the evening for finding this place.
