Needed to exchange a gloss varnish for a poly varnish. Employee said she'd refund it to my card and I could go back, get what I needed and purchase it. She stated CLEARLY when I asked, that the money would go back onto my card instantly. So I agreed to do it that way. Go back up front and there is a different employee, no idea what happened to the woman who told me that information. I could not purchase what I needed. The money will not be returned to my card for THREE to FIVE business days. See, I thought that would be the case, because that is how long it takes most places, but the woman assured me it would be put back on my card immediately. I asked the other employee if they were trained to know that information, she told me that that was also the first time she had ever learned that.Teach your employees this type of thing so they aren't giving false information. She could have just exchanged it instead of refunding and it taking 3-5 days to get the money back on my card. I had to run to get cash because of this issue. Went to Michaels instead because of all this. Also, the second woman I spoke with about the issue had a terrible attitude. Like, she wasn't the one who said it so she could care less. :/ The day before when I bought the wrong item may have been avoided entirely if the woman I asked for help would have actually helped me find what I needed rather than just telling me "it should be back there, if not we're probably out." Might be a good idea to hire people who actually craft and know their stuff too.

Always friendly and helpful. For my needs I find the store to be well stocked.

Since they moved from the old location on Austin St. the service has gone down, but the prices have gone up. There is not much choice of where to buy fabric unless you want to drive out to Tater Patch in Merrill, or pick from the miniscule selection at Wal-Mart. On more than one occasion, my mom and I both wound up with our cuts of fabric being shorted. I sent feedback on Joann's website, and received a generic apology email.

Was going on for a rare sewing project - they had.everything dreamed up for it, and loads of other craft things as well.
