Ordered on DoorDash and was very impressed with my order! Looking forward to trying in person. I’m obsessed with the green salad with their house dressing for $7. Fresh greens and the dressing is unreal. I hope they never change this menu item, I will be ordering every week! Generous portion of chicken with the chicken don. Yam tempura and avocado roll is delicious. This is good quality sushi and Japanese food, possibly the best in North Van. I can’t wait to order again.

Love this Japanese restaurant in North Vancouver. We sat on the nice patio with our dog. The lunch set was awesome, tasty fresh salad, tempura, beef teriyaki, takoyaki, gyoza, dynamite rolls were all delicious. Highly recommended.

I have a new favourite sushi restaurant. I have a friend and coworker who raves about JL, so when I had a family member visiting from out of town, I decided it was a good opportunity to try it. I ordered Lunch Set C, and a piece of Tuna Oshi, and fresh Uni, based on the recommendation of my friend. All was fresh and delicious, and such a generous serving, that I had plenty of leftovers to take for another meal. We were a group of 4 and everyone enjoyed their meals. We also enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and excellent, friendly service by Janet. Yesterday I had to go back for a take-out order of Aburi Ebi Oshi, after hearing my coworker talk about his favourite dish. It was absolutely delicious, and will now be my favourite dish as well. It is best eaten while still warm, so would be best to eat fresh at the restaurant, but also good as takeout if eaten promptly. The Oshi sauce is delectable! Thank you JL and Janet - I will be back!

The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it for the price. Their lunch specials include many different items for a great price. Would definitely recommend!

Hidden gem in North Van! Ordered JL Combo Sushi and Lunch Set A Beef Teriyaki and upgrade to Dynamite Roll +$1. Great quality food and service. Will definitely go back!

The quality was good , but an old lady who looks like the owner or manager was not friendly at all and make us feel uncomfortable . Mango California rolls were good .

I love this place, I go frequently, the prices are good and the food is amazing, always fresh food and good temperature, the service stuff are very friendly, also they have a lot vegetarian options, is perfect to people don't eat meet.

BIG shutout to JL! After trying all kinds of expensive yet bland food near the Quay, finally got a chance to try this one which my coworker recommended. Super kind owner, efficient service, and well-packaged food! The tempuras were crispy and tasted perfect when paired with the sweet sauce. Teriyaki beef has a lot of stir fried veg underneath which has smoky flavor that I like. Teriyaki sauce was packaged separately which made the experience stand out to all other places. Very balanced meal and they portion is so generous that gave me enough leftovers for another meal! Will come back as long as work onsite!

Great experience. Lovely staff very who were very attentive. The sushi was very tasty. I had the real crab California roll and spicy tuna roll. They were excellent. The gyoza were some of the best I have had. Everything was reasonably priced.

This is our go to restaurant for online ordering. Their portions are very generous, the food is really tasty and delivery is quite fast. We have gone into the restaurant before and the presentation is great. Unfortunately didn’t get pictures this time that will try to add some next time. Definitely recommend.
