I almost always get the deep fried pickle poutine. It is my absolute favorite at their chip truck. I have never had a bad experience or bad food. The ladies are always so friendly and welcoming. Would recommend checking them out
Always love a good poutine, and this chip wagon had a few good options. Had the regular poutine and a pulled pork one…… large generous portions, nicely cooked fries. Love stopping at these small local spots when I’m travelling, try the local recommendations….. Didn’t disappoint!
Deep fried pickle poutine was delicious! Excellent service. Friendly, wonderful staff. Worth the drive from Toronto! Be sure to bring cash though. No debit or credit.
This was my first time trying JJ’s. We ordered the deep fried burger, hot dog & sweet potato fries poutine. The burger was flavourful, light and satisfying. The burger is deep fried in what tastes like their fish and chips batter. The hot dog was so so. The poutine was good. I’m not a fan of gravy in general so I didn’t enjoy it but it was the first poutine I had that layered a generous amount of cheese curds, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Next time I will order a poutine without the gravy. The area, condiments, picnic tables were clean, they only take cash and it was about a 5-10 minute wait with one customer ahead of me.
Awesome place to go to ; for Fish & Chips from an outdoor wagon. Also have other items on their menu. Has a nice eat out area. Has that country feeling while eating outdoors on the good days. Try it. It's worth the lovely drive . Great menu. The owners are so friendly. Have P/U during the Pandemic. Lots of parking.
Usually their stuff is really good. Today was an off day. My fries were undercooked, unflavored, soggy and wet. When I tasted them, some were difficult to bite into it and were really hard and others fell apart and were mushy. I always take em home and they taste phenomenal but it was just bad and I thought there was no point bringing them back.
Best fries in town! Highly recommend. Their sausage is great too
My favourite local spot in Alliston. The food is incredible. Highly recommend the poutine as well as fish and chips but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff are amazing and wonderful.
This was our first time trying this truck, and we LOVE IT!!!!! The portion sizes are very large and the flavor is amazing. I had the Pulled Pork Poutine. A nice surprise was that they put pulled pork through the poutine - not just on the top. I just wish I was able to give it more than 5 stars.
It's a definite visit for anyone that comes in town to go camping at Earl rowe. It's on hwy 89 right before Earl rowe. The fries are excellent, reminiscent of New York fries but without all the soggy oil. I'd recommend you eat it right there on the many picnic tables or in your car for the best, freshest flavour. Crispy, crunchy, but soft on the inside. You can get many variations, from sweet potato, poutine to newfie style. If you want they also have burgers, hot dogs, sausages, etc. Prices are very reasonable and a medium portion is more than enough to fill you up for lunch.
