At JJ McLellan & Son, we service what we sell! Our shop is located on the outskirts of our small, but growing home town, Mount Forest, on the corner of Queen Street (Hwy 89) and Sligo Road.

JJ McLellan & Son provides Plumbing and Heating Sales and Service to Wellington North as well as our surrounding municipalities, Southgate, Proton, Grey, Minto & Mapleton. Once you convince McLellan's that the cheapest and fastest way isn't how you want things done the experience was okay.  Plumbing technician was very helpful in explaining my reverse osmosis system as well. The heating and plumbing technicians also made some special trips back to their shop to get the proper installation hardware which was great to see. However when the job was first seen they said they would take care of the range hood if it wasn't direct vented for my new natural gas stove. The first part of the job was completed and I looked into the ducting for the rangehood and saw indeed it was not direct vented. Which I called twice and emailed once within a two week period to book them in to finalize the job with the ducting installation. To no avail never got a call back or email.

They are crooks. I called for service and they billed me hour and half for travel time to and from their office and I happened to time it last night and from their office to my home is 16 mins going 90km/h which is 32 min round trip  so please watch out before you get over charged by these crooks

First time we called we received excellent service. Plumber came out, found out that it wasn't a problem with my well pump but the plug. He corrected the problem and left. Ver nice...NO CHARGE.

Called on a Friday and had an emergency, Water heater leaking quite badly. Was told that the earliest they could get to it was the following Wednesday and that it would be over $800, all over the phone. I got it replaced the next day, y myself for less than $350.

Third time I called, we never received a call back. So again I had to do the repair by myself.  Replacing a pressure switch isn't hard.

Had a new gas line run and a boiler installed.  Mike came out to do the estimate, and was very informative.  He walked me through the pros and cons of a few different options, and helped me come to a conclusion I was happy with.  Jaz and Justin came out to install it, and did a very clean job.  Everyone was always punctual, and got back to me quickly when I had questions. I'm very happy with the work and service.

Made a call re emergency repairs to septic system.  Waited 5 days for an on site appointment. Waited an entire day.   Failed to show.  After 3 calls that day no one showed or replied.  Talked to representative at a trade show on the weekend and he apologized and said he would have some one call.  Three days later, still no one has had the courtesy to call.  If you are too busy or can not attend a meeting, just call.  Just a courteous thing to do.

Just received an absolutely rude phone call.  Interesting that the publishing of this review was the only thing that prompted this contact.  The fellow said he was absolutely not interested in doing weeping tile (he must have x ray vision to see the problem from Mount Forest) and said to contact the chap that installed it.  He was informed that the man had passed away.  He also demanded that the review be removed.  We cannot comment on the quality of work, but only on their customer relations.  Since this is considered an emergency situation, it would have been nice to know on the 20th of April, that they were not interested in the work not 9 days later.
