Such a steal for a whole Peking duck at just $49, especially during the no-GST time. The duck was fresh and delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We also tried the Dan Dan noodles, which were quite good.nnService was decent. The only downside is that they don’t provide enough pancakes for the Peking duck and charge extra for more. However, it’s not a big deal considering the $49 price for a whole duck is already a great value.nnThey also have a lobster deal coming in February— which will probably bring me back!
Amazing Chinese cuisine! Pricey but worth every dollar. The Peking duck is good but the restaurant doesn't give enough sauce. The rest of the food shown in attached photos is all delicious. The stars of the meal are the ginger beef with mushrooms and mapo tofu. The restaurant gets busy so reservations are necessary. Don't expect to get a seat if you just walk in. Highly recommend!
The food was incredible. I went today and got half a Peking duck and the Shanghai noodles with beef and it was great. The duck was juicy and hot and I could see the juices dripping when the server was cutting the duck table side. The Shanghai noodles were probably the best I’ve had in the gta. The noodles were fresh and the quality just exceeded my expectations. The servers were so kind and very attentive. The restaurant was also beautiful and I will definitely be going back.
We came to Jing for the Peking duck dinner for two and really enjoyed it. The meal is a great value for money and a good assortment of dishes. In the dinner for two we got half a Peking duck, lettuce wraps, general tao chicken, stir fried bok choy, and mango pudding for dessert. We added on a small portion of steamed rice for the chicken. Everything was delicious and a very generous portion for two people. Service was very quick and friendly. They carve the duck table side
Searching for a good Peking duck around Toronto and decided to give this place a try. I am very surprised and impressed by the quality and service.nnThe Peking duck comes with the regular sides and a complimentary second course of lettuce wraps. It is served tableside, where the waitress sliced the duck into proper portions. The duck itself is incredible, where the skin is slightly crispy and the meat is still juicy. It comes with the proper sides, i.e. sugar for the skin, sweet bean sauce, cucumber batons and the white portion of green onion slices for the steamed crepes. This is quite authentic as I was expecting a Canadian localized version of Chinese food.nnThe lettuce wraps can take a while to be served, so remember to save space while enjoying the meal. It's decent, except that the duck is fried with a little too much sauce, making it too sweet, even eaten as filling for lettuce wraps.nnThe fried salt and pepper tofu is excellent. It's crunchy with strong garlic and pepper flavour. The fine diced bell pepper absorbed the salt and spices, which takes some flavour away from the tofu cubes. When eaten together with tofu, it is excellent.nnAdditionally, I got a crispy beef and asked for extra spicy. The flavour is mainly sweet and slightly spicy chilli oil. It is quite delicious, but I would try other dishes when I come back.nnI also ordered a beef ho fen, a standard dish to check the quality of a Cantonese restaurant. The noodle itself could be fried a little more to get some wok hei. The sauce tastes mostly soy sauce, I would like it if oyster sauce were added. The beef slices were tender and marinated well. I think this is an okay dish, again would not order again.nnOverall, I am very glad to have tried the Peking duck here. I would highly recommend my friends to check it out.
