If you are interested to enjoying strictly charcoal kebabs, Jigaraki Baghcheh in Richmond Hill is an ideal place. The restaurant is basically two rooms, one room where charcoal is burning and kebab is prepared and the second room where you can enjoy your kebab in Persian Style set-on-the-floor or a classic table and chair. The owner, a friendly Iranian lady is cheerful, friendly and accomodating. The restaurant specialty is grilled organs like liver, heart, kidney, fat, with mushroom, testicles and tomatoes. You can order one skewer of each. I enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere!
It was our first time, we went to this cozy restaurant and we liked it. Ms. Pouran, the owner, was very kind and hosted us in the chalet outside. All the kabobs were made from fresh meat. I would recommend it specially to Persians who missed the street restaurants in Iran.
This is a great find. Loved their food. Ordered the usual suspects and was super happy. The service is great and fast and location is great. Only issue is the place is old and needs some renovation. Will come again. Parking: Go around the building by the marathon park
I like the store's style; it's very cosy and nice, just like back home Iran. The owner is extremely welcoming and accommodating. The food is delicious. There is a wide variety of food available, and if you like meat, it is an excellent option. The meats were fresh and well-baked.
Just like back home. The food is great. The owner is super friendly. Everything is always fresh. Enjoy a night out with family and friends here!
It was awesome, we enjoyed a lot. The food was fresh, tasty and the staff was friendly and nice. Recommended if you miss Del o Jigar.
Very clean area. Delicious food, great owner and wonderful and welcoming staff and a nice area to eat. I’m definitely coming back here again 10/10 recommend.
We were all there few days ego with a group of five, the food was stale and smelly and two of us got food poisoning, moreover we were not provided with a menu and when we got back home we noticed that we were overcharged. The worst dining experience I have ever had in my life.
Such a cozy place for dinner and a night out, the owner is possibly one of the most welcoming people you will ever meet and the customer service was excellent as well. The only downside was the high pricing for a full meal course, however, it was worth a one time try.
Pros: - delicious authentic Persian grilled organ meat and fat yum yum. Grilled "donbeh" tail fat is the most yummy food in the world! - friendly staff Cons: - They can improve the decorations. I saw large food boxes stacked on top of each other inside the eating area. - Maybe they could use "samavar" with cardemom tea instead of using teabag. If it's your first time, I recommend you to order 1 skewer from each meat type or simply ask them what the most popular item are there.
